Full Time roles are eligible for the above, plus:

Job Summary:

Share your passion! Candidates will have a deep enthusiasm for mountain biking, prior experience in competitive mountain biking, allowing them to provide exceptional training and competition experience to our athletes. With a constant eye towards safety and a teaching-strategy centered on progression and taking ALL the necessary steps, while building lasting relationships with our athletes and families. From intermediate to advanced expert, our team works to ensure participants get the most out of their seasons with us.

 

Job Specifications:

  • Expected Pay Range: $20.00 - $25.51 / hour
  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Part Time
  • Level: Advance

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level technical and tactical mountain bike instruction to seasonal groups.
  • Have a broad, accurate and current knowledge of your sport.
  • Possess a high level of self-safety and safety of others.
  • Create a safe, fun environment that is conducive to learning by employing a variety of appropriate teaching strategies and progressions.
  • Encourage student enthusiasm for riding, the learning process, etiquette and the further development of good riding skills.
  • Uphold the highest level of guest and personal safety on varied terrain in all weather conditions. 
  • Follow the Resort’s etiquette guidelines while interacting with guests and respond to all guests in a courteous, professional manner. Maintain positive relations with students, parents, visitors, and general public at all times.
  • Attend all required training, safety and other meetings, required by the department and the company.
  • Continuing education and development of coach pedagogy is ongoing.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to improving personal riding and teaching abilities through attendance of supplementary training.
  • Perform other duties as required.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Previous competition and/or coaching experience.
  • Must be able to complete required training upon hire.
  • Must be able to handle exposure to inclement weather; bending, lifting and squatting.
  • Physical ability to respond appropriately to emergency and other unplanned situations.
  • Prior experience working with children and youth, preferably in sport and in excess of 500 hrs min.
  • Prior experience competing in the sport you are going to coach.
  • Knowledge of venue safety.
  • Vast knowledge of progressions and drills for appropriate athlete development.
  • Must have terrific customer service skills.
  • Must have great communication skills.
  • Good problem solving skills.
  • Must have a great, positive attitude and patience.

 

The expected pay range is $20.00 - $25.51. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
