SEASONAL PART-TIME & HOLIDAY HELP EMPLOYEE BENEFITS

Ski Pass

  • As a benefit provided by Vail Resorts, Employees receive free season access to skiing and snowboarding at Vail, Beaver Creek, Whistler Blackcomb, Breckenridge, Keystone, Stowe, Park City, Heavenly, Northstar, Kirkwood, Wilmot, Afton Alps, Mt.Brighton, Perisher and Arapahoe Basin (other locations may also apply based on area of operation). Eligible dependents may receive the same access for a minimal cost. (Dependent passes not available for Holiday Help Employees.)

  • Vail Resorts also offers: Retail discounts, food discounts, lodging discounts, Colorado Mountain Express (CME) discounts, bus passes, Lasik procedure discounts, tuition discounts, pro deals, child care services and much more.

Coupons & Lessons

  • Part Time employees with >5 years service will receive 2 comp lift tickets and 8 $60 discount lift ticket coupons to provide to friends/family. Part Time employees with <5 years service will receive 4 $60 coupons. (Lift ticket coupons not available for Holiday Help employees.) Lesson discounts may also be available - varies by location.

401(k)​

  • ​Vail Resorts' 401(k) Retirement Plan administered by Empower Retirement makes saving for your future as easy as possible. Currently Vail Resorts matches 50% of the first 6% employees contribute. The plan allows employees to take out loans in various circumstances (some location exclusions apply).

EAP

  • The EAP provides confidential and professional counseling, legal references, financial planning, child and elder care references and much more to help you and your family resolve any problems that may affect your personal lives or job performance. You and your household member's first 3 counseling sessions per Plan Year are provided at no cost.

Voluntary Benefits

  • The Auto, Home & Pet insurance programs allow you to purchase quality insurance at special group rates.​

SEASONAL FULL-TIME EMPLOYEE BENEFITS

Medical

  • Vail Resorts offers employees and their dependents two comprehensive medical plans utilizing the UnitedHealthcare Options PPO Network of providers. Both are consumer-driven plans with a company-funded Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) to help pay towards the first claims you incur in a year. Preventive care is covered at 100%, the employee share of the deductibles is low and Vail Resorts covers 80% or 70% of costs in-network.

Dental

  • Vail Resorts partners with Guardian Dental to provide our dental insurance. Our dental plan covers an extensive range of benefits from check ups to treatment and even orthodontia. The plan provides in & out-of-network cost savings but you'll get greater coverage if you visit an in-network provider.

Vision

  • Our vision insurance is provided by Vision Service Plan (VSP) and provides coverage for exams, lenses, frames, and/or contact lenses. Utilizing VSP's in-network providers will provide cost savings to you.

EAP

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)

  • A Healthcare FSA allows you to set money aside on a pre-tax basis to assist with paying for healthcare expenses not covered by insurance. Vail Resorts' plan is administered by Payflex and allows you to set-aside up to $2,550 per calendar year.​
  • A Dependent Care FSA provides a way to pay for eligible child-care or adult-dependent care expenses using pre-tax money. Vail Resorts' plan is administered by Payflex and allows you to set aside up to $5,000 per calendar year or $2,500 if married and filing separately, and $2,000 if you earned more than $115,000 in 2014.

Life/AD&D

  • Our Basic Life/AD&D Insurance is 100% paid for by Vail Resorts and provides $25k of coverage for hourly employees, 1.5 x salary for salaried employees and a flat amount for executives. Employees can also purchase supplemental life coverage for themselves and their dependents at discounted rates.

Disability 

  • Our Short-Term Disability (STD) and Long-Term Disability (LTD) coverages provide employees with income replacement when they are unable to work due to illness, injury or other medical conditions. STD & LTD provide up to 60% of income replacement while you are unable to work (CA employees have State Disability coverage)

Time Off

  • Vail Resorts believes that periods of rest and relaxation are essential to your health and well being. Therefore PTO is offered and accrued based on the number of regular hours worked each pay period. In addition to PTO, Vail Resorts offers Extra Time Off; 24 hours of additional time off granted beginning at the end of the first year worked.
  • Vail Resorts offers paid sick time to assist during periods of time when you are unable to perform your duties as a result of illness or injury.
  • FTO is paid time away from work for rest and relaxation, including vacation, holidays, medical and personal appointments and short term illnesses. It applies to all salaried exempt FTYR employees grade 25+ (PTO, ETO & Sick do not apply).
