Job Summary:

Okemo Mountain Resort is currently seeking dependable, hard-working individuals to join our Winter Seasonal Janitorial Team. These positions will be part of a team completing fall maintenance tasks and then provide routine winter janitorial service resort wide. The ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude and a willingness to learn new skills.

 

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $20.00/hr
  • Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2025/2026
  • Shift Type: Full Time and Part Time hours available
  • Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age
  • Housing Availability: No


Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining resort facilities from a cleanliness standpoint, working within a team or independently.
  • Interior cleaning of ski lodges and office spaces.
  • Daily upkeep of associated facilities, tools & equipment.
  • Daily inspections of facilities.
  • Proactively communicate maintenance needs to ensure timely ordering of parts and equipment
  • Engage with guests and staff while exhibiting Vail Resorts Core Values 
  • Assist with operation of activities as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements:

  • Follow procedures and guidelines to stay safe and keep your team safe – your safety is our priority
  • Comfortable working both inside and outside in seasonal environments
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work standing on your feet and performing physical work consistently 
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays

Preferred Experience:

  • Basic education preferred
  • Previous experience preferred, but not required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong communication skills: communicates in a positive, solution oriented way to proactively address maintenance and operational needs
  • Teamwork: able to work effectively with leadership and other department staff to plan, schedule, and complete maintenance tasks on time
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a highly dynamic work environment
  • Ability to learn to use chemicals as directed.
  • Must possess visual acuity necessary for visual inspection involving work at a distance at or within arm's reach and sanitation.
  • Position Justification: The base area operator role that was a shared requisition between my department and parking was closed and did not meet the hiring target headcount I would like this role to be posted with an updated job description that I will provide in the remarks below.

 

The expected pay range is $20.00/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
