Job Summary

The Tune Shop at Northstar California Resort is seeking motivated, dependable, and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Tune Shop Service Technicians. This is an entry-level position, and no prior ski or snowboard tuning experience is required. We provide comprehensive training for candidates who are eager to learn, enjoy hands-on work, and are passionate about delivering outstanding guest service.

As a Tune Shop Service Technician, you will help maintain and repair skis and snowboards, assist guests with equipment service needs, and contribute to a safe, organized, and efficient shop environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in quality workmanship, and wants to help guests maximize their performance on the mountain.

 

Job Specifications:  

  • Starting Wage: $21.92/hr - $29.22/hr  
  • Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2026/2027  
  • Shift Type: Full Time and Part Time hours available 
  • Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age  
  • Housing Availability: No 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional guest service while advising guests on equipment condition and service options.
  • Perform ski and snowboard tuning, maintenance, and repair services (training provided).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teammates to support shop operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Assist with retail sales, rental operations, cashiering, or other resort departments as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Mechanical aptitude and an interest in learning ski and snowboard tuning and repair.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout an active work environment for extended periods.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

 

The expected pay range is $21.92/hr - $29.22/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
