Job Summary:

The Director of Club Operations & Membership is a key member of the leadership team at Kindred Resort, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Kindred Resort Club—a premier destination for luxury, wellness, community, and curated alpine living. This role uniquely blends strategic leadership across club operations, membership sales and marketing, experiential programming, and stakeholder engagement.

 

This leader is charged with driving membership growth, brand affinity, and retention through compelling storytelling, personalized service, and active community building. In parallel, the Director ensures the seamless execution of club operations—including the clubhouse, food and beverage, events, and concierge services—while upholding the highest standards of hospitality, financial performance, and member satisfaction.

 

A strategic collaborator and cultural steward, the Director partners with ownership, Vail Resorts, local stakeholders, and the Keystone community to elevate the Club's presence as the heart of the Kindred experience. This leader protects the club’s assets, inspires a high-performing team, and creates an environment where members, guests, and employees feel connected, cared for, and inspired.

 

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $88,868.83 - $114,225.42 + annual bonus  
  • Employment Type: Year Round  
  • Bonus Structure:
    • Wage Grade 27 Bonus (Vail Resorts): 10% target bonus
    • Owner Discretionary Bonus: Estimated $10,000–$20,000 based on annual membership sales
    • Tier 1 - $10,000 after first 25 memberships are sold
    • Tier 2+ - $10,000 additional paid for each additional 15 memberships sold
    • Resets Annually
    • Paid as Tier is attained.
    • Sold membership is defined as an executed membership agreement.
  • Shift Type: Full Time hours available

Job Responsibilities: 

Club Operations & Leadership

  • Implement, administer, and monitor club policies and operating procedures in alignment with Kindred and RockResorts standards.
  • Oversee all physical assets, maintenance, food and beverage operations, recreational programming, concierge services, and spa amenities.
  • Ensure the highest levels of service across all touchpoints—hospitality, wellness, dining, events, and private experiences.
  • Collaborate with partners to ensure dining, golf, and ski/ride services exceed member expectations.
  • Lead the creation and execution of seasonal and signature programming aligned with the club’s brand promise and member preferences.
  • Develop and maintain a strong, service-oriented culture among staff and department heads; lead and mentor direct reports across all departments.

Membership Sales, Marketing & Growth

  • Design and execute integrated sales and marketing strategies to achieve membership acquisition, engagement, and revenue goals.
  • Conduct lead generation initiatives through digital, referral, outreach, event-based, and community-driven channels.
  • Build compelling sales presentations and member journey experiences that highlight the club’s value and exclusivity.
  • Lead onboarding, orientation, and welcome experiences for new members; foster long-term relationships that support retention and referrals.
  • Analyze sales metrics and market data to continuously refine strategies and optimize conversion and retention rates.
  • Collaborate with the hotel’s marketing, real estate, and brand teams to align campaigns and promotional efforts with resort-wide goals.

Financial Management & Planning

  • Develop and manage annual operating and capital budgets; monitor income and expenditures to ensure profitability and financial stability.
  • Review and interpret financial statements, and performance reports; initiate timely corrective actions where needed.
  • Establish purchasing policies, cost controls, and inventory systems that support operational efficiency.
  • Provide strategic input on capital projects, OS&E planning, and technology solutions to support ongoing innovation.

Member Experience & Community Building

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Club’s Advisory Board, members, and community partners.
  • Promote a warm, inclusive environment that reflects Kindred’s core values.
  • Design member engagement programs and communications that foster loyalty, participation, and meaningful interactions.
  • Actively engage in community and industry networking to enhance the Club’s visibility, reputation, and strategic partnerships.

Job Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business, Marketing or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive leadership in club, hospitality, or resort environments.
  • Proven experience in membership sales, hospitality marketing, and operations management.
  • Strong financial acumen with budget development, forecasting, and P&L accountability.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional guest/member service and leading high-performing teams.
  • Familiarity with CRM, POS, PMS, and club operations technology platforms.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required to accommodate club events and member needs. 

 

The expected pay range is $88,868.83 - $114,225.42 + annual bonus. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
