Job Summary:
The PC Technician Specialist is an on-site IT position that provides and coordinates day-to-day support, maintenance, and assistance for all IT hardware and software at a Vail Resorts location. The PC Tech Specialist supports and completes a variety of tasks, including providing end user support for computer hardware and peripherals, creating and updating documentation/SOPs, and uses a work ticket management system to track progress and document solutions. The PC Tech Specialist works as part of the IT team to proactively identify problems and facilitate solutions, repair hardware and software in a Windows Client/Server LAN environment. This position develops and uses leadership skills to mentor junior PC Techs, prioritizes safety and guest service, and lives the company’s core values to deliver excellent IT support.
While similar to the PC Tech Coordinator role, the PC Tech Specialist has more IT experience, in-depth system knowledge and small project management responsibility, as well as a strong working knowledge of Vail Resorts organization and processes. This helps the Specialist to coordinate with business group leaders while supporting multiple point of sale systems, as well as specialize with at least one application or system to provide an Experience of a Lifetime for employees and guests.

Job Responsibilities:

- Create plans for small projects and execute them.
- Coordinate and support the relocation and re-installation of IT equipment in offices, outlets, special event sites, etc.
- Provide exceptional guest service while supporting users and collaborating with coworkers, ensuring the Experience of a Lifetime.
- Mentor and train junior PC Techs.
Drive Value for the Company:
- Provide support for resort and remote-location sales points and peripherals.
- Specialize in working with at least one Vail Resorts application/system by providing advanced support of that system, working effectively with the system’s local managers and sharing system knowledge across the region.
- Provide end-user support of IT approved technology, including workstations, peripherals, printers, telephones, time clocks, etc.
- Configure, track, maintain and properly dispose of IT approved technology, including workstations, point of sale systems, hand-held devices, peripherals, etc.
- Create and maintain accurate documentation and SOPs, as assigned.
- Strive for continual improvement and growth by actively participating in company and IT-specific training.
- Suggest, develop and implement new ideas and tactics for improving user support and the guest experience.
- Have a strong working knowledge of Vail Resorts IT organizational structure and processes.
- Mentor and share job knowledge/skills with junior PC Techs.

Job Requirements:
- Positive, enthusiastic, and friendly.

- In depth knowledge of the support needs within an enterprise environment, with a focus on enterprise systems. Ski industry knowledge preferred.
- Able to facilitate communication across multiple stakeholders.
- The ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage to deadlines, and track against project milestones.
- Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
- Able to move 50 lbs (with assistance if needed).
- Should be able to work a schedule that can include weekends and holidays.
- Ability to ski or snowboard at intermediate level, or desire to learn.
- Valid US driver’s license.
The expected pay range is $22.43 - $34.15. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
