Job Summary
Do you love working with children in a fun, active, and creative environment? Camp CB is hiring Summer Camp Counselors to lead engaging activities for children ages 5 to 8 at the base area of Mt. Crested Butte. Camp activities include arts and crafts, chairlift rides, group games, nature exploration, and more. We're looking for patient, energetic, and reliable individuals who enjoy being outdoors and working as part of a team to create a safe and memorable camp experience.

 

Job Specifications

  • Expected Pay Range: $21.00 - $22.98 / hour
  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time and Part Time
  • Skill Level: Entry, Intermediate
  • Camp Dates: June 9- Aug 15, 10-week summer season plus 1 week of mandatory training prior to start.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise daily activities for children ages 5–8
  • Ensure the physical and emotional safety of all campers
  • Foster a fun, inclusive, and respectful group dynamic
  • Communicate positively and professionally with parents, campers, and team members
  • Arrive on time and present a professional appearance each day
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Prior experience working with children—camp, classroom, or recreational settings preferred
  • Ability to stay patient, flexible, and upbeat in a dynamic environment
  • Strong conflict resolution and communication skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and engage in physical activities throughout the day
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

 

The expected pay range is $21.00 - $22.98. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
