Job Summary:

The IT Support Center - Seasonal Locator is responsible for locating outside plant cabling, working with internal and external stakeholders, assisting Outside Plant Technicians as needed, and ensuring cable plant remains damage free from excavations.

Job Specifications: 

• Expected Pay Range: $20.00 - $26.44 / hour 

• Shift & Schedule Availability:  Full Time, Holidays, Weekends, possibly evenings

• Skill Level: Entry to Intermediate

• Other Specifics:- Keystone, CO

Job Responsibilities:

• Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground Vail Resorts copper and fiber optic underground utilities.
• Thoroughly search for underground utilities in a designated area, accurately marking the location, completing the necessary documentation, and photographing each locate.
• Maintain good communication with operations teams and excavation contractors.
• Assist the telecom analyst with some heavy lifting, cable pulling, light hand digging, spotting excavations, and other tasks as needed.
• Will be required to assist with work in both Summit and Eagle Counties.
• Ability to work with a team or independently.
• After hours and overtime may be required.

Job Qualifications:

• Ability to use basic hand tools. (IE: hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, shovels, etc.)
• Working in all weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have a valid Colorado driver’s license.
• Ability to walk/ hike an average of 2-4 miles/ day in a high alpine environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to check emails and navigate the internet from a smartphone, and laptop which will be provided.
• Knowledge of terrain on Breckenridge and Keystone mountains a plus.
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge and ability to operate locating equipment are a plus. 
• Technically and mechanically inclined a plus.

The expected pay range is $20.00 - $26.44. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
