Summary of Job:
The Sr. Manager, Hospitality Marketing – Business Strategy, Branded & Managed Properties is responsible for driving strategy and execution to achieve the North American lodging business strategies and goals. The ideal candidate is an influential leader who has experience developing talent. They are both data-driven and creative, skilled in analytical investigation and insights as well as leading creative campaign development and execution. This candidate has experience in Product and Brand Marketing and has been in previous roles where they were accountable for driving marketing return on investment and revenue targets.
 
This individual should have a proven track record demonstrating drive, ambition, business acumen, and emotional intelligence. They are a creative and critical problem solver and have demonstrated skill and comfort leading through influence. The position requires the ability to use data and insights in order to provide measurable recommendations in a concise and persuasive manner to cross-functional business partners.
 
This person will deliver data and insights that will then lead and inform the strategy, creation and execution of yearly go-to-market campaign calendars. They will be responsible for managing and developing three direct reports, as well as serving as a leader within the Hospitality Marketing team and Marketing department. The ideal candidate will have exposure to different types of projects and be responsible for delivering results on-time in a very agile and fast-paced environment.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute against a data-driven campaign and sale strategy in support of enterprise lodging initiatives, as well as plan and support strategy marketing plans for Vail Resorts managed properties.
  • Partner with omni-channel and resort marketing teams to execute go-to-market plans and deliverables within key time periods.
  • Actively monitors and reports on key performance indicators and business results, identifies key drivers of performance, optimizes tactics where needed, and articulates results to various stakeholders.
  • Develops and manages marketing budgets and forecasts with excellence.
  • Leads team members responsible for creating targeted and personalized content and messaging to deploy against complex guest segments and contact strategies.
  • Partner with Revenue Management, Analytics, Group sales, and Channel teams to provide actionable insights for go-to-market planning and execution.
  • Demonstrate success working with large data sets, developing tools for streamlined analysis, and creating reports that succinctly summarize complex concepts.
  • Lead a team of 3 individuals in day-to-day responsibilities, coaching, career development, etc.
 
Job Requirements:
  • Four-year college degree required. Emphasis in marketing, business and/or communications preferred.
  • 6-8 years marketing experience, preferably in travel or hospitality industries; experience working in a multi-location and/or corporate matrixed environment. Experience in managing relationships across Hotel Ownership groups a plus.
  • 3+ years direct supervisory experience.
  • High degree of organization, attention to details and level of professional conduct. Self-starter, ambitious and multi-tasker.

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $93,000 - $126,000 + annual bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Vail Resorts offers a ‘Hybrid’ work environment where employees living within 50 miles of the Broomfield office work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and have flexibility to work off-site on Mondays and Fridays.  Employees living outside of a commutable distance can work remotely from British Columbia, Washington D.C., and the 16 U.S. states* in which we currently operate.
