Role Overview:

The Senior Manager of HR Solutions is a critical leadership role responsible for managing and executing key programs and initiatives for the full Talent Center of Excellence including Culture and Change Management, Learning and Organizational Development, and Talent Management.

 

The role also has leadership accountability for the People Analytics function and talent technology systems, ensuring they deliver on intended functionality to meet the organization’s talent objectives. The desired candidate will have experience building data and analytics capability and strong program management acumen to drive talent and business outcomes.

 

Key Responsibilities:

This role will lead a new eight person HR Solutions team designed to support the Talent Center of Excellence in the areas of data, process, and systems. The centralization of these disciplines creates a unique opportunity for the Sr. Manger of Talent Solutions to apply consistent, best practice approaches across the portfolio and identify synergies and integration opportunities across programs.

  • People Analytics Leadership: Lead the people analytics team to deliver reporting and insights that support key talent priorities including continuous listening, workforce management, frontline and leadership pipeline talent strategies, HR services, and seasonal readiness. Utilize data to drive informed decision-making and strategy development.
  • Program Management: Lead and manage key talent programs including the full-cycle frontline talent strategy, enterprise Leadership Summits, the annual talent management cycle, and new talent initiatives. Ensure these programs are effectively designed, implemented, and aligned with organizational goals in an integrated approach.
  • Talent Technology Oversight: Oversee the operation and optimization of talent technology systems. Ensure systems meet current and future talent development needs, lead direct reports and partner with the HR Scale program to collect future requirements and participate in the design and execution of new talent-related technology.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate closely with HR, IT, and other cross-functional teams to align talent
  •  programs, processes, systems and data solutions with broader HR strategies.
  • Change Leadership: Drive change management efforts to support the implementation and adoption of new talent initiatives and systems. Provide clear communication and guidance to ensure smooth transitions and sustained success.
  • Leadership and Development: Provide leadership and development opportunities for team members. Foster a culture of continuous learning, high performance, and innovation.

Job Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum 6-8 years of experience in talent management, HR, or related fields, with demonstrated success in program management and leadership roles; at least 3 years of managing individuals or teams

 

Skills:

  • 3+ years leading strategic HR programs and teams directly related experience, preferably in a medium-large company or consultancy 
  • Self-driven and have the demonstrated capability and confidence to interface effectively with functional leaders, members of the HR team, and multiple stakeholders throughout the company driving critical talent sourcing and hiring initiatives.  
  • Experience coaching and developing high-performing teams. 
  • Success in establishing and maintaining professional relationships with stakeholders. 
  • Ability to access team/individual solutions, needs assessments, and implementing appropriate solutions with appropriate colleagues. 
  • Creative problem solver. 
  • Effective communication both written and verbal, to clearly articulate ideas. 
  • Demonstrated track record of driving and management portfolio of programs/projects that deliver individual, team, and company performance. 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change that drives business outcomes 

 

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $107,293 - $141,967 + annual bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Vail Resorts offers a ‘Hybrid’ work environment where employees living within 50 miles of the Broomfield office work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and have flexibility to work off-site on Mondays and Fridays.  Employees living outside of a commutable distance can work remotely from British Columbia, Washington D.C., and the 16 U.S. states* in which we currently operate.
