Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Digital Business Analyst to play a key role on our Digital Team in enabling Vail Resorts to support our best in class data-driven digital experience. This position will support the Marketing Digital Experience organization in a highly collaborative environment working closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, Developers, and Quality Assurance specialists to determine what experiences have the maximum impact and drive business metrics.  

 

We are looking for an outstanding individual who excels in several key areas: Requirements gathering and validation, building and managing partner relationships, digital testing platforms and tools, and software development life cycle. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Digital Business Analysis.

  • The budgeted range starts at $92,396 - $115,000 + annual bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience

Job Responsibilities:

  • Elicit and Document Business Requirements: Gather, refine, and document detailed business requirements to inform design and development. 

  • Facilitate System Enhancements: Define and document new system capabilities and enhancements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility. 

  • Primary Liaison Between Teams: Act as the primary point of contact between Marketing Digital Experience teams and Digital development team, ensuring seamless communication and alignment on complex projects. 

  • Lead Data-Driven Problem Solving: Analyze and resolve challenges in a data-driven environment by leveraging metrics, analytics tools, and stakeholder insights. 

  • Foster Cross-Functional Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, ensuring consistent alignment with internal technology teams throughout project lifecycles 

  • Collaborate with Product Owners: Partner with product owners to define, refine, and document business requirements, ensuring they align with the overall strategic goals. 

  • Manage Ambiguity and Complexity: Guide project teams through ambiguity, breaking down complex problems into functional, actionable requirements. 

  • Support Agile Delivery Processes: Actively contribute to sprint planning, backlog grooming, and other Agile ceremonies to ensure timely and successful project delivery. 

  • Conduct Stakeholder Workshops: Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and drive consensus among diverse stakeholders.  

 

Job Qualifications: 

Required: 

  • 5+ years working in agile custom software delivery in a BA capacity 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or a closely related field 
  • Demonstrated business analysis experience with direct business interaction 
  • Strong analytical skills with proven experience in documenting business requirements and creating process flows 
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable speaking with and translating between technical and non-technical team members at all levels of the organization 
  • Experience working with a cross-functional team in the areas of technology, marketing, digital experience, and analytics 
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skills 
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions 
  • A history of leading and supporting successful projects 
  • Experience in an Agile based delivery environment 

 

Preferred: 

  • Proficient with Jira and Confluence 
  • Experience working on a mobile application and/or e-commerce platform 
  • Experience with CMS systems such as Sitecore and ContentStack 
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Tools- Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics 

 

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $92,396 - $115,000 + annual bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Vail Resorts offers a ‘Hybrid’ work environment where employees living within 50 miles of the Broomfield office work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and have flexibility to work off-site on Mondays and Fridays.  Employees living outside of a commutable distance can work remotely from British Columbia, Washington D.C., and the 16 U.S. states* in which we currently operate.
