Job Summary: 

Vail Resorts is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to become an important part of our high-energy, fast-paced, and innovative HR Technology team. As an HR Technology Senior Business Analyst, you will partner with HR, Payroll, Employee Relations, and other key functions to understand business requirements, test technology solutions, and ensure compliance with software development lifecycle standards and other key controls. This role will primarily support ServiceNow, including integrated platforms, and will be a critical resource as we expand the footprint of the ServiceNow platform.

Essential Job Responsibilities: 

  • Partner with business units to understand needs, gather requirements, and translate them into scalable ServiceNow solutions
  • Document functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, and administrators to design and validate ServiceNow configurations
  • Stay current with ServiceNow releases and new features; assess impact and opportunities
  • Mentor other Business Analysts on the HR Technology team.
  • Responsible for Release Management responsibilities including coordinating the items for release, obtaining release approvals, and communicating with the infrastructure and development teams. As well, as ensuring the proper QA practices were followed.
  • Administer regular production system support, including researching, diagnosing and resolving data integrity issues, system bugs, etc.
  • Open and track support tickets as needed and follow through with open issues reported from all business owners.
  • Follow up on production process failures, ensuring timely coordination of resolution and communication.
  • Use standard techniques to elicit and document business requirements, effectively identify process inefficiencies, and make suggestions for modifications.
  • Conduct system integration testing utilizing quality assurance best practices and documentation.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments efficiently and provide suggested priorities to the manager.
  • Open to learning additional technologies and integration practices.
  • Actively participate and take personal ownership in career through self-assessments, mid-year, and annual reviews, goal setting, and performance management.
  • Adapts to growth and change, is open to and generates new ideas. Handles pressure well, and adjusts plans to meet the changing needs of a rapidly growing organization while simultaneously looking for foundational improvements.
  • Leads P1 escalations and coordination, as requested.
  • Collaborates with the HR Technology leadership team on internal process improvements and leads execution of those improvements, as needed.
  • Reviews and analyzes case data within ServiceNow and proactively identifies areas for improvement.

 

Job Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 5+ years of business analysis experience, with at least 3 years focused on ServiceNow
  • Experience managing and troubleshooting integration issues
  • Excellent analytical, facilitation, and communication skills
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives and managing competing priorities
  • Strong documentation skills using tools such as Confluence, Visio, or Lucidchart
  • Works autonomously, knowing when to escalate and seek support

 

 

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $92,397 - $125,793. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
