Job Summary:

The Finance Technology team is seeking an experienced Senior Analyst, Finance Technology, to serve as a key technology partner to Finance and Accounting across our enterprise financial systems landscape.

 

This is a business-facing and technical role supporting our Finance ERP and the ecosystem of applications and integrations surrounding it. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in finance and accounting processes, deep experience with enterprise ERP systems, and hands-on expertise working with system integrations, data flows, and complex technology solutions.

 

The successful candidate will be comfortable moving between production support, technical troubleshooting, solution design, project delivery, and strategic improvements. They will partner closely with Finance and Accounting, IT teams, architects, vendors, and project teams to deliver scalable solutions that meet business needs and maintain the integrity of our financial systems.

 

Job Specifications:  

  • Starting Wage: $89,348.00 - $127,640.00 + Annual Bonus

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a senior technology resource supporting the Finance ERP and related financial applications across multiple Finance and Accounting functions.
  • Develop and maintain a broad understanding of Finance processes and ERP functionality, including areas such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable/Billing, Asset Management, Purchasing/Procurement, Cash Management, Financial Reporting, and other related processes.
  • Partner with Finance and Accounting stakeholders to understand business needs, identify opportunities, and translate them into practical technology solutions.
  • Analyze end-to-end data flows across ERP, SaaS applications, internal systems, third-party platforms, and other enterprise technologies.
  • Lead or serve as a key technology contributor on Finance Technology projects ranging from smaller enhancements to large, enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot integration failures and data issues by tracing transactions across systems and identifying points of failure.
  • Work with integration developers, technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to resolve issues and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Review and understand integration mappings, data transformations, APIs, interface specifications, file-based integrations, and other integration patterns.
  • Manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining a strong focus on production stability and project delivery.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies, including functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
  • Ensure solutions are thoroughly tested across end-to-end financial processes and integrated systems.
  • Support SOX, audit, internal control, security, and change management requirements applicable to Finance Technology.

 

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications, ERP systems, Finance Technology, or Business Systems.
  • Strong understanding of Finance and Accounting processes and how they are represented within ERP systems.
  • Hands-on experience with system integrations, including troubleshooting data flows between an ERP and external/internal applications.
  • Understanding of integration technologies and patterns such as APIs, web services, middleware, batch/file interfaces, and data transformations.
  • Experience with the full solution lifecycle: requirements, design, configuration, testing, implementation, and production support, including SOX-compliant testing.
  • Strong SQL skills for data analysis, troubleshooting, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently investigate complex technical and business problems and drive them to resolution.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication skills — comfortable translating between technical and non-technical audiences and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, production issues, and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting major ERP platforms such as PeopleSoft Financials
  • Working knowledge across core finance modules: General Ledger, Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables/Billing, and Asset Management or Project Costing.
  • Experience with enterprise integration platforms such as ActiveBatch or Snaplogic.
  • Experience with financial cloud applications such as Coupa, Concur, or Blackline.

 

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $89,348.00 - $127,640.00 + Annual Bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Vail Resorts offers a ‘Hybrid’ work environment where employees living within 50 miles of the Broomfield office work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and have flexibility to work off-site on Mondays and Fridays.  Employees living outside of a commutable distance can work remotely from British Columbia, Washington D.C., and the 16 U.S. states* in which we currently operate.
