Job Summary:  

The Rental Marketing Manager will play a critical role in developing and executing the Rental business’s product and go-to-market strategy. This individual will be a key driver of Rental-focused initiatives and will partner closely with cross-functional teams, including Omnichannel Marketing (owned, paid, and earned media), Business and Channel Analytics, Guest Research, Operations & Business Development, and Test & Learn, to bring our long-term vision to life. As a lead marketing voice on cross-functional projects, you’ll ensure the Rental marketing strategy and priority messaging is clearly represented and effectively brought to life in ways that resonate with our guests.


You will bring a high level of attention to detail in executing strategies aligned with the Sr. Marketing Manager of Rentals, while leading the creative briefing and review process to ensure the messaging strategy is effectively translated into compelling content. You will also bring strong analytical capabilities and business acumen to assess both business performance data and channel-specific insights to inform strategic and executional decisions and identify opportunities to optimize growth. Leveraging data across digital platforms, including websites, paid media, and email, you will track performance, measure effectiveness, and translate insights into meaningful business outcomes. Key responsibilities of this role will be executing Rentals marketing strategies, regularly reporting on performance, and driving ongoing optimization efforts.


The Rental Marketing Manager must have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to both give and receive constructive feedback. Success in this role requires effective collaboration across diverse teams, the ability to manage and prioritize multiple workstreams, and a focus on delivering results in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is a curious and strategic thinker with strong ownership, learning agility, and organizational skills, who brings flexibility, a proactive mindset, and the ability to lead projects independently while building strong relationships

 

Job Specifications:  

  • Starting Wage: $77,000.00- $90,000.00 + annual bonus

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies, content, and campaigns to drive conversion of online rental reservations, with a focus on influencing early bookings before guest arrival.
  • Lead and manage cross-channel marketing campaigns, across owned and paid channels including but not limited to search, social, display, and email to drive traffic, generate leads, and convert guests to meet Rentals KPIs.
  • Lead the development and execution of creative briefs and own creative reviews to ensure accuracy of guest segments, value propositions, messaging hierarchies and brand language, driving toward measurable outcomes and marketing effectiveness.
  • Partner closely with inbound and outbound marketing teams (CRM, paid media, communications, digital) to define, develop, and deploy compelling content, campaign tactics, and landing pages that resonate with target audiences and drive conversions.
  • Own reporting and performance analysis for the Rentals business. Identify trends, uncover insights, and recommend optimizations to enhance marketing effectiveness.
  • Use data-driven insights to shape product positioning and go-to-market strategies, tactics and messaging that support equipment rental goals within the broader Vail Resorts mountain traveler journey.
  • Analyze guest behavior and segmentation data to refine targeting strategies and ensure campaign efficiency across the entire marketing funnel.
  • Work closely with the Test and Learn team on guest insights, segmentation strategies, and opportunities to optimize UX on EpicMountainRentals.com and Resort.com Rentals sites to drive business objectives
  • Contribute to the evolution of the annual strategy for rental product mix, incentive programs, and promotional offers, with a guest-first approach

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Marketing or related field, MBA or advanced degree a plus
  • A minimum of 4 years of marketing strategy and go-to-market execution experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to leverage data from a variety of systems to create a point of view which can influence and drive the business. Ability to think conceptually across various customer communication channels and touch points
  • Strong business acumen with an ownership mentality and logical, fact-based thinker
  • Great collaborator

Preferred:

  • Experience in a resort or travel environment

 

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $77,000.00- $90,000.00 + annual bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Vail Resorts offers a ‘Hybrid’ work environment where employees living within 50 miles of the Broomfield office work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and have flexibility to work off-site on Mondays and Fridays.  Employees living outside of a commutable distance can work remotely from British Columbia, Washington D.C., and the 16 U.S. states* in which we currently operate.
