Job Summary:

The Digital Project Manager position offers an exciting opportunity to oversee and drive the execution of high-impact digital initiatives across our resort websites. This role focuses on managing digital projects, go-to-market (GTM) campaigns, and multi-year strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and timely delivery.

 

This role is central to optimizing workflows, managing deliverables, and coordinating resources across departments. Reporting to the Sr. Digital Marketing Manager, the Digital Project Manager will enable the broader eCommerce team to focus on data-driven insights and analytics while supporting key initiatives across digital objectives. Additionally, this role ensures smooth execution of operational tasks, project ownerships, and other large-scale projects.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

Project Management & Workflow Optimization:

  • Act as the primary project manager for digital marketing initiatives, creating detailed project plans, timelines, and deliverables.

  • Monitor project progress, address risks and bottlenecks, and ensure alignment across all stakeholders.

  • Coordinate resources across ecommerce teams to ensure smooth execution of projects.

  • Manage complex, multi-phase projects with multiple dependencies, such as seasonal readiness initiatives and multi-year campaigns.

 

Cross-Team Collaboration:

  •  Facilitate collaboration across departments, ensuring that all teams involved are aligned and working efficiently toward shared goals.

  • Lead cross-functional meetings to update stakeholders, resolve blockers, and ensure clarity on project priorities.

  • Act as a liaison between the digital marketing team, analytics teams, and external partners to ensure seamless execution of campaigns and initiatives.

 

Operational Oversight & SOP Maintenance:

  • Oversee operational processes, working with the web development team to address bugs, test functionality, and manage site enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs for seasonal projects and GTM workflows, ensuring process consistency and efficiency.

 

Data-Driven Insights & Analytics Integration:

  • Collaborate with analytics teams to define project success metrics and incorporate insights into the planning and execution of campaigns.
  • Conduct regular reporting on project outcomes, using data to inform recommendations for future initiatives.

 

GTM Plan Execution:

  • Work closely with the Go-To-Market (GTM) team to ensure tactical elements of the GTM plan are executed effectively.
  • Ensure all project timelines and deliverables discussed in GTM meetings remain on track, and collaborate with team members to address dependencies.

 

Stakeholder Communication & Reporting:

  • Provide regular updates to the Senior Digital Marketing Manager and key stakeholders on project progress, risks, and achievements.
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment and resolve blockers.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project execution.
  • Maintain and update SOPs related to seasonal and GTM workflows, ensuring best practices are followed.

 

Job Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in project management, digital operations, or a similar role.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, including multi-phase initiatives with cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g. Jira, Workfront) and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience working with content management systems, like Sitecore, Wordpress, ContentStack, Umbraco, etc.

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a focus on identifying and addressing risks and bottlenecks.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across various teams.

Desired:

  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Agile Certified Practitioner).

  • Experience working in digital or e-commerce environments.

  • Expertise in managing operational and compliance-focused projects.

  • Master’s degree in Project Management, Business, or equivalent coursework/experience.

 

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $77,000 - $96,000 + annual bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Vail Resorts offers a ‘Hybrid’ work environment where employees living within 50 miles of the Broomfield office work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and have flexibility to work off-site on Mondays and Fridays.  Employees living outside of a commutable distance can work remotely from British Columbia, Washington D.C., and the 16 U.S. states* in which we currently operate.
