Job Summary:

The Senior Specialist, Employee Communications, will play a key role in how we educate, inform, inspire, and rally Vail Resorts’ 55,000 team members. This role is responsible for crafting and delivering credible, engaging content across our internal communications channels. Key duties include writing, formatting, and distributing company-wide email newsletters and announcements; maintaining best practices in tone, branding, and formatting across our internal communications channels; and collaborating cross-functionally to develop content and awareness campaigns. The Senior Specialist will also manage email distribution lists and monitor content performance to drive continuous improvement. As a member of our Corporate Communications team, this position plays a vital role in driving employee engagement through thoughtful storytelling and channel strategy.

 

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $57,000 - $65,000
  • Employment Type: Year Round

Job Responsibilities:

  • Write, build, format, and send newsletters, strategic communications, announcements, and other internal messages via email marketing platform
  • Develop engaging content and storytelling for 55,000 employees across the company
  • Cross-post content across multiple internal channels, including email, newsletters, and intranet
  • Manage content and best practices across all internal communications channels – apply a consistent look, feel, tone, and brand; optimize organization and formatting; ensure effectiveness across mobile and desktop
  • Collaborate with internal partners and teams to create credible, engaging communications and awareness campaigns to reach our employees
  • Maintain email distribution lists
  • Monitor content performance and effectiveness and drive continuous improvement

 

Job Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a Communications position
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Exceptional writer with strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized; experience managing projects and/or content calendar
  • Experience creating, publishing, and managing content using a content management system and/or email distribution platform
  • Works independently, takes initiative, and has the desire to achieve
  • Learns quickly and is inquisitive
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and comfortable interacting with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Able to be nimble in a fast-paced environment and meet challenges with a positive attitude

 

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $57,000 - $65,000. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Vail Resorts offers a ‘Hybrid’ work environment for Broomfield-based roles where employees must live within 50 miles of the Broomfield office and work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and have flexibility to work off-site on Mondays and Fridays.
