Job Summary:
As the Senior Manager of VRR Operations Support, you will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight and strategic vision for the Operations Support team. You will have oversight of all retail & rental operational processes, procedures, communication strategies, IT prioritizations and technology roadmaps for retail and rental locations including the My Epic Gear Program. You will serve as a key point person for field leadership and cross-functional business partners.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and own the strategic growth of all centralized resources, including, communication, documentation, resources, and IT prioritization and escalation partnership. Work with internal business partners and diversified groups to improve the reach Operations Support has currently.
  • Coordinate the development for Operating Procedures by using effective systems, technology, procedures and documentation to ensure operations are adaptable, accurate, and efficient. Provide a new perspective on the way that we share this information with the teams and drives increased acceptance and understanding of the procedures. Assemble, update and maintain retail specific handbooks or materials in conjunction with key updates and changes as needed.
  • Build an overall vision for leadership and store level reporting. Identify and implement improved reporting capabilities including appropriate summary views for leadership down to store level operational needs. Ensure the distribution of all reports are accurate and timely. Reports range from revenue performance, inventory, ramp up and ramp down operation efforts, payroll and timekeeping, commission programs, guest happiness surveys and other reporting as needed.
  • Optimizing operations through use of data and analysis to identify areas of opportunity to improve in-store operations including day to day maintenance procedures, procurement of goods for stores to operate, entertainment systems (TV/Radio), etc. Elevate the use of technology for these initiatives.
  • Responsibility over the strategy, creation and execution of enterprise communication forums such as kickoffs, first tracks, the Carve and all targeted field updates.  Partner with various stakeholders to oversee content creation and performance.
  • Proactively assist Senior Directors of VRR Operations Support, VP of VRR Operations and VRR SLT with the implementation of retail and cross functional initiatives and projects as needed.
  • Roadmap and execute on the growth and expansion of the My Epic Gear Program from a documentation, procedure and technology standpoint.  Partner with numerous stakeholders to align on business procedures, and update/implement/communicate tactical updates to the field


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, and/or 5+ years of related experience.
  • Creative and conceptual thinking to build solutions to sophisticated problems.
  • Strong learning agility and ability to work through the unknown, creating pathways to execution.
  • Ability to pitch ideas and gain support, and then develop tactical plans to implement.
  • Experience managing projects and timelines with appropriate accountability, prioritization and delegation.
  • Experience managing functions at scale, and understanding of corporate structures, applications and communication forums


Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Analytical and budgeting skills.
  • SharePoint expertize preferred.

 

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $76,841 - $100,000 + annual bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Vail Resorts offers a ‘Hybrid’ work environment for Broomfield-based roles where employees must live within 50 miles of the Broomfield office and work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and have flexibility to work off-site on Mondays and Fridays.
