Job Summary: 

Mountain Division is seeking a Project Manager to join our central team and play a vital role in the recently announced Resource Efficiency Transformation and Strategic Division Programs. We are looking for a professional who combines project management expertise with strategic thinking to ensure that projects align with the organization’s long-term goals. This high-performing individual will lead diverse projects and programs across the Mountain Division, engaging in high-level planning, resource allocation, and risk management to drive impactful outcomes. Relentless in the pursuit of excellence, this Project Manager works tirelessly to get things done, working closely with senior executives and leaders to design and implement cross-functional processes and systems that align project objectives with the company’s strategic vision. Being able to identify and drive results with special attention to the experience of our guests and employees, this role is critical to enhancing operational efficiency, optimizing resources, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and sustainable growth throughout the division.  

  

This position will report to the Chief of Staff for the Mountain Division.

  • Expected Pay Range: $103,596 - $130,000 + annual bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience 

  • Other Specifics: Hybrid (Denver, Colorado based) 

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • End to end responsibility for management of multiple complex and cross-functional projects, process and tools, including project development and scoping through execution; 
  • Utilization of program-level processes and tools for effective and efficient project management and alignment, and training of stakeholders on such processes and tools; 
  • Manage a broad range projects across the program, necessary to drive the Division’s and Enterprise priorities; 
  • Design and manage meetings to include setting objectives, agendas, organizing meeting time and minutes and ensuring cross functional team members and projects stay on track to meet the aligned objectives 
  • Partner closely with Mountain Division and cross functional leaders to ensure continuous prioritization and effective resource management; 
  • Track, monitor and drive deliverables, working with both internal and external teams and in adherence to approved budget; 
  • Manage multiple levels of stakeholders through alignment, project updates, identification or risks and opportunities and effective and transparent communication, with an emphasis on storytelling; 
  • Balance competing priorities and challenges within the Division and cross functionally; 
  • Identify and provide recommendations to address process gaps or improvements and challenge assumptions in a constructive and professional manner; 
  • Seek continuous improvement of existing and new systems, tools and processes to increase resource efficiency and effectiveness; 

  

Job Qualifications: 

  • Required 4-5+ years professional experience as a project manager with a demonstrated track record of delivering projects in scope, on time and on budget; 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, process management, engineering or equivalent preferred; 
  • PMP certification is strongly preferred; 
  • Strong analytic and critical thinking skills are required; 
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively amongst a variety of cross functional stakeholders, ranging from enterprise executives to in field operational staff, in a changing and fast paced environment is critical; 
  • Knowledge of and ability to execute on multiple approaches and processes for project management with the ability to apply the most appropriate approach to individual projects; 
  • Appreciation and understanding of confidentiality and discretion in your work; 
  • Self-directed, naturally curious, detail oriented and diligent; 
  • Ability to deliver high-quality project management quickly, in a fast-paced environment that expects proactive project leadership
  • Drive to achieve and to grow excellence in the team 

 

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $103,596 - $130,000 + annual bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Vail Resorts offers a ‘Hybrid’ work environment for Broomfield-based roles where employees must live within 50 miles of the Broomfield office and work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and have flexibility to work off-site on Mondays and Fridays.
