The Procurement Operations Analyst is responsible for driving value focusing on supplier onboarding, catalog management, buyer/supplier support & training, procurement compliance, and process improvement. This role reports to the Procurement Operations & Advancement Manager and will be based in the Broomfield, CO Headquarters with a Hybrid work environment. This role will have the opportunity to help our stakeholders achieve their desired business results by enabling a seamless buying experience. The ideal candidate will develop a strong understanding of the system's functionality and capabilities related to user purchasing behavior and system content utilization.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strong understanding of the Vail Resorts P2P (Procure to Pay) purchasing system, Coupa, and act as a subject matter expert for system functionality & capabilities related to user purchasing behavior and system content utilization.
  • Assist in the definition of business processes that ensure the consistency, uniformity, and accuracy of item data. Developing/updating item master standard operating procedures (SOPs), guidelines, and tracking the execution of supplier agreements associated with hosted catalogs.
  • Identify key areas in which the user purchasing process can be improved through utilization of existing and potential new technologies.
  • Assist in the implementation of new functionality to support a guided buying experience.
  • Analyze purchasing behavior to identify key needs for training, content management, and improvements in system functionality to create a seamless and compliant purchasing experience. Continually seek and recommend process and system improvements aligned to strategic objectives.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing for various technology system enhancements to ensure that Coupa updates do not affect functional use.
  • Serve as a point of operational support and escalation, including providing system usage and process troubleshooting
  • Provide transactional buyer support, including evaluating and approving new supplier setups, free-form purchasing, preferred supplier spend management, and ensuring efficiency of procurement transactions
  • Perform root cause analysis, using data insights, to drive process and program compliance improvements across the Source to Pay function with minimal manager direction
  • Coordinate with corporate-wide, cross-functional teams to address the need for changes to processes, policies, and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • 1+ years work related experience
  • Aptitude for learning processes, technologies and systems
  • Solid understanding of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams etc.)
  • Able to work autonomously balancing multiple projects while providing a high level of customer support
  • Ability to demonstrate learning agility and thought-leadership as business needs change and increase in complexity
  • Curious, with a passion for understanding “the why” in order to continuously improve
  • Analytical skills, time management skills, and strong interpersonal communication
  • Self-starter; ability to work independently
  • Keen eye for finding opportunities, defining a problem space, and works to solve
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills linking issue resolution to operational improvement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of employees and 3rd parties required

Preferred:

  • Exposure to Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or related fields preferred
  • B.A. or B.S. in Business, Finance, Supply-Chain, Economics, or related field; relevant work experience also accepted in lieu of education requirements
  • Experience with Coupa and PeopleSoft strongly preferred, other leading P2P platforms a plus.
  • Strong Data and Analytics skills
  • Process analysis, design, and implementation

 

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $56,485 - $71,874. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Vail Resorts offers a ‘Hybrid’ work environment for Broomfield-based roles where employees must live within 50 miles of the Broomfield office and work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and have flexibility to work off-site on Mondays and Fridays.
