Job Summary
We are seeking a strategic and data-driven Manager, Programmatic and Paid Social Activation to manage the execution, optimization, and performance analysis of our digital paid media campaigns. This position will be a key player on the paid media team and is intended for a person with advanced media buying experience in programmatic and social media platforms.
This role will work alongside our paid media strategists, ad operations, analytics, and audience management teams. A large aspect of this role will focus on in-platform media activation, monitoring, and optimizing performance. Will also bring a proven track record of ability to manage multi-million dollar ad campaigns, translating media plan details into complete campaigns, while driving key business goals/conversions across both programmatic display and paid social platforms. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented digital expert with a passion for paid media and a strong background in performance marketing.
Job Responsibilities:
Media Buying & Platform Expertise
- Manage paid media campaigns across DSP platforms such as The Trade Desk, DV360, and Adobe DSP.
- Experience with multichannel, full-funnel, campaign management, including display, video, native, audio, DOOH, CTV, and social ad formats.
- Familiarity with Meta, TikTok, Pinterest campaign execution and reporting; ability to work cross platform or with use of social management tools.
- Operate with cross functional stakeholders; taking strategy business needs to execute and activate media plans in platform.
- Proficiency with hands-on keyboard use of media buying tools.
- Knowledge on Meta Advantage+, predictive budget & bidding tools.
Campaign Activation & Optimization
- Lead end-to-end campaign, setup, optimization, and reporting within programmatic DSP’s and Social platforms (Meta, TikTok, Pinterest etc)
- Possess an analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance data, translate insights into actions, and deliver actionable recommendations to business stakeholders.
- Have a strong understanding of performance marketing KPIs with an expectation to monitor campaign metrics to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Recommend audience targeting, bidding strategies, and creative testing to drive conversion performance, incorporating guest lifetime value (GLV) models.
- Conduct audience activation from CDPs, DMP’s, and other data systems. (e.g. LiveRamp, and/or Amperity)
- Proven knowledge of media buying fundamentals, including, 1P & 3P audience activation, inventory deal management, frequency capping, and pacing optimization strategies.
- Experience activating PG deals, PMP’s, or other curated inventory packages.
Paid Media Innovation & Technology
- Identify and integrate new media trends, platform updates, and measurement solutions (e.g., incrementality, brand lift studies, attribution models).
- Collaborate with platform partners to explore alpha/beta opportunities and refine best practices.
- Leverage performance insights to make recommendations around audience refinement, creative messaging, and media mix decisions.
- Serve as a thought leader within the team & organization, sharing strategic insights to inform planning and elevate overall media sophistication.
Job Requirements
- Hands-on media buying expertise in programmatic and paid social environments.
- 3–5 years of experience working in DSP platforms (The Trade Desk, DV360, Adobe DSP preferred).
- Experience interfacing with business leaders, understanding and executing campaigns against key business KPIs.
- Prior experience managing a multi-million dollar media budgets preferably in a performance marketing aspect.
- Deep understanding of audience segmentation, attribution models, and campaign measurement.
- Proven ability to leverage analytics, audience insights, and performance metrics to inform decision-making, strategy, and media optimization.
- Ability to use best-in-class adtech & media buying tools.
- Demonstrated success adopting a test & learn approach to continually test new tactics and ideas.
- Collaborative team player with clear & confident communication.
- Have a growth-oriented and solutions-driven approach.
- Daily use of Microsoft Outlook/ Teams, JIRA, Excel, Tableau.
The expected Total Compensation for this role is $68,500 - $90,000 + annual bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
