Job Summary:
The Vail Resorts IT Infrastructure division focuses on providing a robust framework of services supporting ski area operations, retail, hospitality and corporate functions. This position provides IT support for Vail Resorts Corporate Headquarters located in Broomfield Colorado and Vail Resorts Retail locations and remote workforce employees in the Denver and Boulder area. Candidates will be experienced in leading desktop and network support teams and managing the logistics of large deployments. Fostering relationships with leaders in IT Infrastructure, Corporate Services, Call Center Sales and technology vendors requires organized communication experience. Located onsite in Vail Resorts Broomfield headquarters, the role is responsible for oversight, support, maintenance and future planning of all end user technology such as desktop, laptop, network and wifi, mobile devices, and new IT initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
Daily supervision of staff consisting of PC Technicians and Network Technicians. Coordination with the IT Support Center. Management and completion of support tickets.
Coordinate and manage the installation, support and maintenance of infrastructure equipment to support enterprise future business growth and the movement and/or expansion of enterprise units or related networking devices as described by departmental policies and standards.
Strong team working effort in project management and implementation is needed to ensure proper communication and coordination with all of IT and key departments. Maintains relationships with key departments and departmental contacts as needed for successful implementation of projects and maintenance schedules.
Supports regional manager in any and all aspects of departmental operations. Acts as IT point of contact and coordination for all projects and support issues. May act as departmental point of contact in the absence of the director.
Responsible for interviewing, hiring, scheduling, training and providing professional development opportunities for distributed systems staff members.
Coordinates and performs installations, relocation, and re-installation as well as any other related requests (Adds/Moves/Changes) with end users and other IT team members. Will require some lifting, carrying and operation of company vehicles.
Plans and coordinates the purchase of personal computer hardware, server hardware, network devices and other equipment according to department standards and procedures. Maintains vender relationships, procures pricing and technical specifications for equipment and projects on a continuing basis.
Provides project management / tracking to insure the project and day-to-day work schedules are being met.
Create, maintain and update documentation as needed for compliance with company computer related standards.
Performs at or above the Information Technologies performance standards. Fulfills departmental requirements in terms of providing work coverage and administrative notification during periods of personnel illness, FTO, or education.
Position Requirements
5 years minimum supervisory experience. Strong leadership and supervisory skills required.
Industry certifications or equivalent education preferred.
3 years experience utilizing desktop management and inventory tools such as SCCM.
Strong understanding of WAN and LAN technologies required.
Excellent interpersonal skills as well as excellent oral and written skills are required.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills are essential.
Ability to work independently and unsupervised within all levels of the department and corporation.
After hours support and maintenance, on-call duties are required.
The expected Total Compensation for this role is $76,850 - $112,000 + annual bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Vail Resorts offers a ‘Hybrid’ work environment for Broomfield-based roles where employees must live within 50 miles of the Broomfield office and work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and have flexibility to work off-site on Mondays and Fridays.
