Reporting to the Manager of Analytics – Procurement & Financial Shared Services, the Financial Analytics Analyst will be responsible for existing reporting dashboards, and Extract, Transform & Load (ETL) workflows including leveraging Alteryx for maintenance and optimization of data workflows. Additionally, the individual will work closely with the Corporate Procurement Operations team to provide support, identify reporting opportunities, and ultimately help to improve business outcomes. Other responsibilities include collaborating with Operations, Technology, Accounting, Sourcing and Accounts Payable to identify areas of opportunity for report development and curation along with providing analytical expertise in driving efficiencies and solving complex problems.

Applicants should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, possess analytical and problem-solving skills and will have demonstrated learning agility. The individual should have a demonstrated ability to quickly build subject matter expertise and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. Preferred candidates will have demonstrated the ability to persevere through ambiguity; an innate inquisitiveness; possess the drive to extend analytical capabilities; and have demonstrated emergent leadership capabilities.

Job Specifications: 

  • Starting Wage: $60,000 - $75,000  
  • Employment Type: Year Round

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Comfort working with large data sets preferably using Alteryx or SQL
  • Experience building reporting dashboards in Power BI or related tools
  • Basic understanding of using SQL to extract data from databases, or a willingness to learn
  • Distilling insights and crafting compelling recommendations through analyses and data visualization
  • Collaborating with various teams to understand analytics needs, collect data, and advise on analytical approach to answering questions and solving problems
  • Comfortable acting with autonomy under ambiguous circumstances – especially with regards to being on the forefront of issues where action plans aren’t initially clear
  • Where appropriate, comfortable escalating questions and issues to leadership along with recommendations for mitigating actions

Job Requirements:

  • B.A. or B.S. in Information Systems, Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, Statistics, or related field; relevant work experience also accepted in lieu of education requirements (2+ years relevant work experience)
  • Ability to seek and recommend process, program and system improvements aligned to strategic objectives, including identifying opportunities to improve training, content, and compliance definition and reporting
  • Data driven curiosity, and eagerness to learn
  • Ability to summarize and communicate complex data to team members from a wide variety of backgrounds and skillsets

 

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $60,000 - $75,000. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
