POWDER: PROVIDING OPPORTUNITY FOR WOMEN THROUGH DIVERSITY, EQUALITY & RESPECT
A new program at our Company which aims to foster an inclusive culture that attracts and retains a broad range of exceptional talent and promotes diverse leadership growth opportunities.
The inspiration for this initiative is the Women of Whistler Blackcomb (WOWB) program. In 2015, women leaders from every division across Whistler Blackcomb came together to ask, “How do we do better?” Driven by their passion to find an answer, they led a culture shift within the resort, impacting hiring practices, scheduling, development, advocacy, education and recognition.
The EpicService Award is the highest level of recogt;The EpicService Award is the highest level of recognition for guest service at Vail Resorts. This program recognizes individuals who provide anExperience of a Lifetime to an external guest or a fellowby embodying our service mantra: Own It. Personalize It. Elevate It.
Quarterly nominees receive an EpicService pin and have a local celebration in their honor. And, each year, one winning nominee from each location will be awarded an all-expense paid, multi-exclusive dinner with CEO Rob Katz and other executives.
The EpicPromise Employee Foundation supports Vail Resorts employees and their dependents in times of need through emergency fiheir dependents in times of need through emergency financial assistance and educational grants. The Foundation will provide $750,000 annually in employee grants with donations going to employees in need.
Vail Resorts is dedicated to helping our communities thrive, a commitment which is reflected in one of our six foundational values: “Do Good.” One of the most impactful ways to accomplish this is through employee volunteering. In fact, Vail Resorts employees gave nearly 25,000 hours of company-sponsored volees gave nearly 25,000 hours of company-sponsored volunteer time to nonprofits over the last year.
