Job Summary:

The Sr. Housing Experience Coordinator is a key member of the Vail Resorts Employee Housing team, supporting the execution of the Wellness Strategy in partnership with the Housing Experience (HX) Manager, Housing Experience Assistant Managers, and Employee Housing leadership. The Housing Experience Team's mission is to support Employee Housing staff and residents in meeting current and future needs to deliver an Experience of a Lifetime. Through a focus on building welcoming communities, fostering meaningful relationships, and creating safe, inclusive, and vibrant housing environments, the team plays a critical role in the overall resident experience.

This position blends resident-focused wellness support with operational responsibilities, helping to ensure both the day-to-day success of housing communities and the achievement of broader business objectives. The Sr. Housing Experience Coordinator serves as a resource, role model, advocate, and partner for employee residents, empowering them to navigate challenges, access available resources, and build positive connections within their communities.

In collaboration with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, this role helps implement strategies and initiatives that support resident well-being, community engagement, customer service excellence, and housing operations. Success in this position requires strong relationship-building skills, adaptability, organization, and the ability to effectively balance resident support with operational priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The Sr. Housing Experience Coordinator contributes to creating an engaging and community-oriented living experience while supporting the evolving needs of Employee Housing and the broader workforce. Responsibilities and focus areas may shift throughout the year based on seasonal demands, resident needs, and business priorities.

 

Job Specifications:

Job Responsibilities: 

Resident Experience, Wellness & Community Engagement:

  • Execute and support the Vail Resorts Employee Housing Wellness Strategy to foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming resident experience.
  • Deliver standardized wellness programming aligned with the Employee Housing Programming Model, the Eight Dimensions of Wellness, and Vail Resorts' Mission and Values.
  • Plan, facilitate, document, and evaluate social, recreational, educational, and community-building programs that enhance resident engagement and support the Employee Value Proposition.
  • Create a welcoming and supportive environment by delivering exceptional customer service and building positive relationships with residents.
  • Actively engage with residents by being visible, accessible, and present within housing communities while maintaining appropriate documentation and interaction records.
  • Serve as a resource and advocate for residents, helping them navigate transitions and connecting them with mental health, physical wellness, EAP, and other support resources.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and roommate mediation while promoting a respectful, community-oriented living environment.
  • Support resident-facing communications, programs, and engagement opportunities, including contributions to housing newsletters and communication initiatives.

Resident Support & Case Management

  • Manage and respond to resident requests through the EpicEmployee platform within established service-level expectations.
  • Create, manage, and track resident support cases, including roommate conflicts, wellness concerns, and resource referrals.
  • Partner with Employee Relations, Human Resources, Housing Leadership, and community resources to support residents, de-escalate complex situations, and identify appropriate solutions.
  • Support community safety initiatives, emergency response protocols, and referral services while promoting awareness of available resources.

Housing Operations & Administration

  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with housing policies, procedures, legal requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate resident communications, including move-in and move-out information, property notices, policy updates, and failure-to-depart communications.
  • Support housing compliance processes, including Assistance Animal requests, resident documentation, and license agreement administration.
  • Manage key control processes, parking assignments, access credentials, and related audits and tracking systems.
  • Facilitate move-in and move-out operations, including inspections, check-in packet preparation, occupancy transitions, and personal property management.
  • Assist with reporting, tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives that support operational effectiveness and the resident experience.

Property & Facilities Support

  • Conduct regular property inspections and provide on-site support to identify and address community, building, and unit needs.
  • Partner with internal teams and third-party vendors to support maintenance, safety, operational, and facility-related needs across housing properties.
  • Support front desk operations, occupancy management, resident arrivals, and other housing functions as needed.

Collaboration & General Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain partnerships with internal stakeholders, community organizations, mental health providers, law enforcement, and other external resources to support resident success.
  • Collaborate across Employee Housing teams to support changing business needs, seasonal priorities, and operational demands.
  • Provide cross-functional support and participate in special projects, initiatives, and additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, resident advocacy, and operational excellence while supporting the mission of delivering an Experience of a Lifetime.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma, some college coursework or college degree preferred
  • 1+ years’ experience in guest services, customer service, or a related role, demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • 1+ years’ experience managing and maintaining data with a strong focus on accuracy and organization.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and in compliance with data protection regulations
  • Experience with conflict resolution preferred
  • Experience working with people within a mental health capacity
  • Experience in event planning and execution preferred
  • Proficiency in computer systems and software, including basic tools like Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • StarRez or other room management software programs experience preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to review and ensure accuracy in work, manage multiple tasks, and maintain high standards of quality

 

The expected pay range is $20.50/hr - $23.58/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
