Job Summary:

The Grounds Maintenance Team plays a critical role in maintaining the resort's outdoor spaces and base areas year-round, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and employees. This position supports a wide variety of summer and winter operations, including landscape maintenance, snow removal, equipment operation, trash and recycling management, and general resort upkeep. This is an excellent opportunity to develop skills across multiple areas of resort operations while working in a dynamic outdoor environment.

 

Job Specifications: 

  • Starting Wage: $21.00/hr - $25.20/hr  
  • Employment Type: Year Round

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform snow removal operations using shovels, snow blowers, trucks, plows, UTVs, loaders, and other snow removal equipment.
  • Assist with ice management, snow hauling, and winter storm response activities to maintain safe pedestrian and vehicle access throughout the resort.
  • Support parking lots, roadways, walkways, and base area operations during winter weather events.
  • Maintain cleanliness of resort outdoor spaces by collecting litter, servicing trash and recycling receptacles, and ensuring public areas remain presentable.
  • Perform a variety of grounds and maintenance tasks including landscaping, seasonal beautification projects, base area upkeep, and general facility maintenance.
  • Assist with planting and maintaining annuals, perennials, bulbs, shrubs, trees, and landscaped areas.
  • Operate landscaping equipment and power tools including trimmers, weed whackers, blowers, and other grounds maintenance equipment.
  • Perform hardscape maintenance including walkways, pavers, retaining walls, and garden bed repairs.
  • Assist other resort departments and operational teams as needed.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Follow established safety procedures and guidelines to keep yourself and your team safe. Safety is our top priority.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, including snow, cold temperatures, heat, rain, and varying seasonal environments.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to shovel snow, dig, rake, and perform other physically demanding work for extended periods.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical labor throughout a work shift.
  • Ability to operate or willingness to learn to operate trucks, plows, UTVs, loaders, tractors, and other grounds maintenance equipment.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays, early mornings, evenings, and overnight shifts during snow events.
  • Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, snow removal, construction, or equipment operation preferred but not required.

 

The expected pay range is $21.00/hr - $25.20/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
