Job Summary:

Service is the foundation of everything we stand for at Vail Resorts and our Ski School team is no exception to facilitating this experience of a lifetime. Responsible for ensuring smooth business operations, Ski School Administrative Specialists are organized team players ready to assist with any of our operational or guest needs.  

  

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $22.00/hr - $26.03/hr 
  • Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2025/2026 
  • Shift Type: Full Time
  • Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age

Job Responsibilities:

  • Input instructor master schedules and adjust staff numbers based on business volume on a bi-weekly, weekly, and daily basis.
  • Communicate staffing levels on a weekly and daily basis to the supervisor and management team.
  • Oversee instructor time-off requests.
  • Daily data entry.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple assignments and schedules with fluctuating and time sensitive deadlines.
  • Liaison with the Product Sales and Services on guest reservation information for supervisors.
  • Stay informed of guest and employee safety regulations and policies.
  • Look ahead on instructor schedules and future lessons to ensure proper lesson coverage and communicate any short on staffing levels to supervisor and management team.
  • Create a fun, positive, creative and supportive environment in which to work by interacting with staff in a positive and supportive manner.
  • Support other supervisors, program leads, and instructors with staffing communications.
  • Perform other duties assigned by Ski & Snowboard School Manager.
  • Must have adequate knowledge of and ability to use computer software (MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel) in order to handle work involving word processing, accounting data, project timelines and other applications that may become necessary to support the supervisor and management team.

  

Job Requirements:

  • Ski or snowboard instructing experience
  • Ability to act resourcefully and adapt to a changing environment while providing exceptional customer service skills to guests and employees alike.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
  • Ability to speak, read, write and communicate clearly in English.

 

The expected pay range is $22.00/hr - $26.03/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
