Job Summary: 

Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the tune shop, ensuring efficient service and a safe working environment. Duties include supervising technician staff, maintaining safety standards and regulatory compliance, and performing tuning, maintenance, and repairs on skis and snowboards. Also accountable for training, coaching, and scheduling the technician team to support high performance and customer satisfaction. 

 

Job Specifications:  

  • Starting Wage: $22.00/hr - $23.48/hr 

  • Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2025/2026 

  • Shift Type: Full Time hours available 

  • Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age 

  • Housing Availability: No 

 

Job Responsibilities: 

Experience & Leadership 

  • Minimum of two seasons of professional experience as a ski/snowboard service technician. 

  • Demonstrated leadership in a team-based environment, with the ability to train, mentor, and set quality standards for other technicians. 

  • 1–3 years of supervisory experience or proven ability to lead and communicate effectively. 

 

Technical & Operational Skills 

  • Strong mechanical aptitude to be able to perform tuning, maintenance, and repairs on skis and snowboards. 

  • Ability to identify and address operational needs, including tech supply management and equipment readiness. 

  • Proficiency in maintaining safety standards and ensuring compliance across the technician team 

 

Strategic & Collaborative Mindset 

  • Collaborate with resort management to align service operations with resort goals. 

  • Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments, with a track record of creative problem-solving and sound judgment 

  • Other duties as assigned  

 

Job Requirements: 

  • Ability to stand, move, and work actively in a team-oriented setting for extended periods. 

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. 

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent; business or technical training preferred

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; fluency in English required. 

 

 

The expected pay range is $22.00/hr - $23.48/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
