The mission of Vail Resorts is to build an Experience of a Lifetime for our employees so that they can build the same for our guests. As the Senior Specialist of Employee Experience (EEX), you’ll be a culture curator, bringing out the best in our employees and managers by developing and executing programs that continually elevate the employee experience. Then, you’ll bring new ideas and solutions for experience improvements utilizing data and critical metrics to help inform and influence the business. This position requires strong project management, managing local resources to execute event planning, and coordinating communication and support enterprise-wide programs (e.g. wellness, ramp-up etc.). Lastly, you’ll support other HR functions (benefits, talent acquisition, talent development, employee relations, etc) in designing new programs and building templates to drive improved experiences.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead EEX across a group of resorts – partnering with key stakeholders to bring enterprise-wide programs to life locally, and advising new and optimized opportunities
  • Plan and execute engagement events in alignment with employee value proposition strategies and established programs - (engagement programs, appreciation programs etc.).
  • Optimize and ensure successful execution of on-boarding and off-boarding employee activities.
  • Identify enterprise-wide opportunities for standard methodology within the EEX network.
  • Collect, analyze, and apply data to create insights that inform aspects of the HRBP’s integrated HR business plan.
  • Handle budgets, vendors, and planning for events and appreciation programs with supporting key performance indicators and measurements.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; university degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years experience in HR, customer service, or marketing.
  • Technical knowledge of core HR processes and tools.
  • Ability to manage in a fast-paced environment with a positive demeanor
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and inform cross-functional teams, business and vendor partners.
  • Strong organization, problem-solving, planning
  • Ability to develop a creative and compliant solution
  • Project management experience managing complex projects.
  • Experience influencing and/or mentor managers.
  • Experience leading multiple projects on time and on budget.
  • Ability to build relationships, connect with, and lead multiple stakeholders across various resorts.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and HR/talent/people systems.
