Full Time roles are eligible for the above, plus:

This person is responsible for providing the experience of a lifetime in all facets of their work. They are responsible for overseeing multiple F&B locations and for a significant portion of divisional revenue; managing revenue, and expenses to achieve contribution targets set with the Senior Director of Food and Beverage and the Director of Finance. This position oversees upwards of 200 employees. Advanced ski and/or snowboard skills and operation of a vehicle are essential functions of this position and will require the applicant to meet the minimum requirements of the WB Driver’s Standards Policy.

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Lead strategic business planning initiatives and implement in their business, resort-wide, and with Vail Resorts as required.
  • Collaborate on business, concept, and product development in conjunction with the Senior Director of Food and Beverage, Vail Resorts F&B Center of Excellence (COE), Vail Resorts Enterprise F&B Leadership, and the F&B Senior Management Team while leading these initiatives during implementation and operation.
  • Collaborate on and develop long term capital and growth initiatives through the capital planning process with the Senior Director of Food and Beverage, Vail Resorts Enterprise F&B Leadership, and the WB F&B Senior Management Team.
  • Lead the talent development, succession, performance evaluation, performance management, compensation and on-going performance feedback for a team of reports that includes both leaders and employees.
  • Lead and verify Safety and Food Safety plans and initiatives that deliver at the high standard that reflects the values of Vail Resorts and as required by law/regulation.
  • Be accountable for COS issues and be able to offer solutions to these issues. 
  • Review and communicate weekly financial reports; knows how to drive performance in contribution, labor and COS.
  • Lead labour management and follow up on scheduling and labor management issues and will offer direction and prompt solutions to these issues.
  • Be a steward of the environment and take ownership of WB and Vail Resorts Zero Waste initiatives, providing company-wide leadership for the network.
  • Deliver guest service that reflects industry leading standards for the international restaurant industry and the high expectations of Vail Resorts guests.
  • Build strong relationships with government, business and community, and participate in resort initiatives with all of these partners.
  • Oversee all mandated licensing needs for multiple businesses.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of 3rd party contracts and relationships.
  • Support and develop partner and strategic alliance relationships division-wide.
  • Liaise with Marketing, Sales, and the Food and Beverage Division to ensure coordinated initiatives are driving business and that the brand is managed and cultivated.
  • Implement and act on Customer Satisfaction Metrics (GX) to evaluate and optimize Net Promoter results against established targets, and communicate to recognize results, re-enforce consistent standards and to reflect best practices company-wide. 
  • Leads the F&B and WB Teams to deliver on our mission – The Experience of a Lifetime while demonstrating and coaching our Core Values, and Core Competencies.

The expected pay range is $71,240 - $100,495 + annual bonus. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
