Job Summary:
To oversee the safe and efficient operation of the snow tube park, providing a fun and animated snow sliding experience for Whistler Blackcomb guests. The team consists of approximately 30 employees in various roles including lift operations, ticket validation, ticket sales, lane starters, and lane clearers.

 

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $22.00/hr - $29.04/hr
  • Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2025/2026
  • Shift Type: Full Time hours available
  • Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age

Job Responsibilities:

  • Set an excellent example and strive to improve safety, service, and employee experience.
  • Ensure service expectations, standards, and quality are consistently met and exceeded.
  • Provide coaching and direction to staff.
  • Make daily decisions on capacity levels and adjust inventory accordingly
  • Assist with selection, training, development, and coaching of Tube Park Attendants.
  • Ensure adherence to all operational and safety procedures for the Tube Park, lift, and equipment (e.g., 4-track, snowmobiles).
  • Act as first responder to safety incidents; complete and file all required documentation and report to the Manager.
  • Assist in developing and enhancing Tube Park operations, practices, standards, and procedures.
  • Promote team spirit and cooperative work ethics.
  • Monitor tube lanes and address issues using grooming or hand tools.
  • Manage maintenance issues including toilet facilities, snowmaking equipment, fencing, and signage.
  • Show initiative in routine matters and exercise sound judgment in emergencies.
  • Ensure safety checks and operational procedures are completed and recorded before public opening.
  • Coordinate daily staff assignments.
  • Communicate operational updates and procedural changes effectively and timely.
  • Conduct daily morning meetings covering operations, safety, and customer service.
  • Align scheduling and labor management with business levels.
  • Manage payroll (PeopleSoft), cash outs (Audit), POS discrepancies, and performance issues.
  • Maintain documentation of daily logs and accident/safety forms.
  • Conduct employee reviews and recognize outstanding performance.
  • Participate in goal-setting and achievement of seasonal objectives.
  • Attend all employee meetings.
  • Lead and participate in animation activities focused on family fun.
  • Fill in front-line roles and provide breaks during slow periods.

  • Maintain high housekeeping standards—clean, tidy, and litter-free environment.
  • Adhere to grooming policy and punctuality standards.
 

Job Qualifications:

  • Valid BC driver’s license and satisfactory driver’s abstract.
  • Previous supervisory experience required.
  • Well-groomed and in good physical condition.
  • Mature, energetic, dependable, and able to work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal and guest relations skills.
  • Previous cash handling experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and administrative tasks.
  • Proven leadership and motivational skills; works well under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management.
  • Must complete required lift exams.
  • Criminal record check required

 

The expected pay range is $22.00/hr - $29.04/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
