Job Summary:
Manages the overall day-to-day operation of the tune shop.
Job Specifications:
- Starting Wage: $56,485.00 - $66,056.71+Annual Bonus
- Employment Type: Year Round (10-month)
- Shift Type: Full Time hours available
- Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversight of the service and tuning of customer and rental skis/snowboards according to established guidelines. Maintain our reputation of quality ski tuning.
- Work as a team with 3rd party Wintersteiger employees
- Recruit, hire, train, coach and maintain a quality core tuning center/delivery staff
- Coordinate the movement of all skis and snowboards to and from stores and tune shop via provided vehicles
- Role model and administer company policies and guidelines
- Conduct performance appraisals for and coach development of staff on a regular basis
- Maintain all company paperwork according to policies and standards
- Communicate ideas or issues with the Area Manager
- Ordering tune shop supplies and maintaining tune shop machinery.
- Adhere to and enforce safety procedures according to policies and standards.
- Remain current on new industry products and trends, and demonstrate knowledge of products
- Be energetic, motivated, and possess the ability to multi-task
- Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of team management experience
- A minimum of 1 year of ski/snowboard rental management experience
- A minimum of 3 years prior tuning experience or background
- MVR check and commercial drivers certificate- required (provided by company)
- Ability to operate a van on mountain roads through adverse winter conditions, in and out of tight alleys and through very busy pedestrian areas
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and/ or holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to communicate frequently with co-workers and guests in accurate spoken and written English
- Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
- Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task
- Familiarity with rental and retail POS system
- Must be a team player and be able to handle fast-paced environment
- Possess the desire to offer the highest customer service standards to guests
The expected pay range is $56,485.00 - $66,056.71+Annual Bonus. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
