Job Summary:           

Responsible for creating a welcoming first impression to Club members, name recognition, a timely delivery, retrieval and storage of skis and equipment.  Provide immediate and courteous member service.  Communicate with various departments to notify internal staff of member arrival and/or needs.  Responsible for cleanliness of Club and surrounding work environments. Positive attitude in stressful situations

 

Job Specifications: 

  • Starting Wage: $22.26/hr - $27.83/hr

Job Scope:

  • Attend to all guest relation/customer service interaction regarding club and spa facilities or programs and general member services information.

 

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.  Some college experience preferred. The ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasked environment with high profile members. Presents excellent communication skills, both written and oral are essential.  Previous guest service experience is required, preferably working directly with elite, sophisticated individuals. Must be able to work the whole season, weekends and holidays.                         

Reporting Relationship:

  • Reports to Club Director, Membership Services Manager, and Clubhouse Manager.  Works closely with other members of the Arrabelle Club Staff.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Valet all members’ and guest’s ski equipment with applicable labels, put into inventory, and stored in an organized fashion.
  • Maintain club lobby cleanliness for guest arrival.
  • Front desk, fill in when necessary.
  • Locates and delivers members’ and guests’ ski equipment to   member when member and/or guest arrive each day to go skiing.
  • Receives, tracks, and transports members and guests skis to ski storage at the end of ski day or when member and/or guest are done skiing for the day.
  • Document all ski tuning instructions, coordination and transport equipment to and from the ski shop.
  • Changes light bulbs, performs minor maintenance as needed.
  • Assists food and beverage staff with daily services.
  • Make cookies and present them in the Club Room with milk daily.
  • Assists with restroom cleanliness checks.
  • Dust, sweeps, mops, and vacuum as directed.
  • Performs special requests as directed by club managers.
  • Assists members by answering questions promptly and    courteously. 
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related directives as needed.
  • Problem solves member issues within authority level, direct to  upper management for decisions.
  • Arrives on time and in uniform for shift.
  • Is professional at all times when discussing the club.
  • Participates in all mandatory staff meetings and trainings.
  • Greets members and guests by name.
  • Engages members and guests in conversation.
  • Assists with member/guest requests.
  • Cooperates and take direction from peers by assisting them as needed.
  • Complies with facility usage policies.
  • Be present and available for any member needs. 

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Lift, transport up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to mop, sweeps, vacuum, shovel snow and move large carts of skis.
  • Must be able to operate appropriate machinery such as vacuum cleaners, wet vacuums, carpet cleaners, and hand tools (including screwdrivers, pliers, and small wrenches).

 

COGNITIVE DEMANDS:  Writing, reading, speaking and listening in English. Must be able to reasonably and rationally handle guest complaints and questions in a calm manner. Must consistently be able to multi-task.

 

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

  • Ability to work outside in adverse winter conditions.
  • Will be working with, exposed to, handling, and mixing of cleaning chemicals.

 

Dismissal: Unexcused absences will not be tolerated.  If you must be absent, it is your responsibility to find a replacement and inform your supervisor of the situation.  Failure to follow policies and procedures the first time is cause for verbal warning, the second time is cause for written warning and including a 3 day work and 3 day ski pass suspension.  The third offense will result in termination.  Use of drugs or alcohol while on duty is cause for immediate dismissal. 

 

Other Job Requirements: Staff must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and during the week as needed.

 

The expected pay range is $22.26/hr - $27.83/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
