Job Summary:

The Greeter is part of the Product Sales & Services (PSS) Department, delivering an Experience of a Lifetime by providing exceptional guest service while creating a welcoming first impression by embodying the resort’s brand, culture and service standards. Service is the foundation of everything we stand for at Vail Resorts, and our Product Sales team plays a critical role in bringing that commitment to life. As the face of Vail Resorts, these team members create seamless, memorable moments for our guests—serving as the gateway to every epic adventure across our resorts.

 

Job Specifications: 

  • Starting Wage: $20.00/hr  

  • Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2026/2027  

  • Shift Type: Part Time hours available 

  • Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age

Job Responsibilities:

  • Meet and greet guests while delivering a warm, enthusiastic, and professional first impression.
  • Embody the resort’s brand and service culture as a front-line ambassador in all guest interactions.
  • Operate an Express Lift Ticket Pickup handheld device to provide efficient, seamless service and reduce wait times.
  • Champion guest satisfaction by taking ownership of guest care and delivering proactive, solution-oriented problem resolution.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource by becoming an expert in resort operations, services, and offerings.
  • Proactively guide guests with wayfinding, line management, directions, and recommendations to ensure a smooth arrival experience.
  • Actively manage guest flow and queue areas to enhance efficiency and minimize congestion.
  • Provide timely, accurate information regarding resort conditions, operations, and events.
  • Assist other departments as needed, including ticket and pass sales, ski & ride school, mountain access scanning, activities operations, food & beverage, parking, and lift operations.
  • Maintain awareness of guest and team safety and escalate issues or concerns to the appropriate team
  • Support base area upkeep, including snow shoveling and the application of ice-melt.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
  • Adherence to safety standards and procedures as a core company value.
  • Ability to stay enthusiastic and perform well when busy
  • Ability to work outside, on your feet, in all weather conditions for long periods of time, standing and moving for entire shift on potentially slippery or uneven surfaces.
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays
  • Previous guest service experience preferred
  • Equipment used: Scan devices, ELTP devices, POS stations, and/or possible computer work

 

A Guest Services Attendant team member is a flexible employee who often works across multiple departments and in various roles to support the one-resort mentality which could include one of the following: 

  • Mountain Activities 
  • Ticket Sales 
  • Pass Sales
  • Call Centers
  • Ski and Ride Schools

 

The expected pay range is $20.00/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
