Job Summary:

The Host is responsible for greeting, welcoming, seating, and assisting guests. Are you seeking fun and adventurous employment opportunities in the world’s best Ski Resorts? Job Specifications:

  • Expected Pay Range: $11.40 - $15.35 / hour + tips
    • If hired into a tipped position, guaranteed to make a minimum of $20 / hour inclusive of tips
  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time, Year Round
    • AM Shift / Breakfast
  • Skill Level: Advanced

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for greeting, welcoming, seating, and assisting guests
  • Coordinate guest seating to balance server workload and ensure efficiency. 
  • Responsible for setting a wait time and starting a waitlist when the time calls for one. 
  • Responsible for taking reservations, and documenting/fulfilling guest date, time, seating preferences and special requests. 
  • Provide assistance to servers by setting, clearing and cleaning tables, bussing items to dishwashing area, serving and refilling water, coffee, tea, etc. 
  • Deliver food and take drink orders, as required. 
  • Responsible for the cleanliness and organization of side station areas throughout the dining room. 
  • Ensure side stations are completely clean and restocked at the end of each shift. 
  • Assist servers in guest requests or accommodations when the server is busy. 
  • Assist food runners in running food to tables during busy times of the night. 
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Job Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. -required
  • College degree with emphasis in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism. -preferred
  • Minimum 1 year experience in upscale Restaurant, preferably in luxury Hotel/Resort environment
  • Must be able to professionally communicate in English, both written and verbal. -required 
  • Must be able to clearly communicate in-person as well as over the telephone. -required
  • Must be willing to work weekends and holidays. -required
  • Must be able to communicate with the kitchen and the service staff to figure out wait times for tables.
  • Must be able to multi task and stay organized.
  • Must be able to work under high pressure/stressful times and situations.
  • Host must follow all BSA standards and steps of service when seating tables, making reservations and assisting in guest requests.

 

The expected pay range is $20.00. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
