Job Summary: 

Supervising the ski valet team to ensure a members have timely access to their equipment. Be point person for communication between managers and valet team. Act on managers requests and/or delegate to team. Maintain organized/up-to-date ski inventory. Enforce club policies regarding number of skis and guest storage. Track guest ski storage. Track tunes and make sure skis are retrieved from tune shops. Provide immediate and courteous member service. Responsible for cleanliness of Club and surrounding work environments.

 

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $23/hr - $26/hr

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all communication from club is parsed to team and acted on
  • Must be able to reasonably and rationally handle guest complaints and questions in a calm manner.
  • Drive successful ski valet team.
  • Prompt delivery of members skis to the snow when they are heading out to ski
  • Transporting skis from car valet
  • Organizes what skis are needed for each day/week
  • Maintain up-to date inventory of all equipment
  • Deliver/ Retrieve ski tunes and document
  • Log daily ski activity – Track Guests and extra ski storage numbers
  • On time and IN UNIFORM
  • Professional when discussing club and ALWAYS Confidential with member information
  • Greet members by name and engage in conversation
  • Watching for members coming out to get skis and coming off the hill (should be greeting them on snow).  MUST BE PRESENT AT TENT AT ALL TIMES DURING DAY
  • Assist in member requests
  • Cooperative attitude – takes direction from peers and managers
  • Willing to work weekends, holidays, and overtime when needed.
  • Maintain a clean working area outside and in ski storage
  • “Sweeps” of the club throughout day– tidy club, restrooms, lounge
  • Assist F&B team with daily services
  • Fills in at front desk when necessary
  • Makes easy bake cookies and has them ready in club with milk each day

 

Job Requirements:

  • Supervisory experience
  • Ability to handle member complaints in calm, courteous manner.
  • The ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasked environment with high profile members.
  • Presents excellent communication skills, both written and oral are essential.
  • Ability to be on time, in uniform, ready to work by 7:30
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, move large rolling racks of skis SAFELY
  • Willingness and ability to work outside in winter conditions
  • Flexible and willing to step in and help club operations when needed
  • Good attitude
  • Knowledge of Ski and snowboard equipment
  • Previous guest service experience

 

Dismissal: Unexcused absences will not be tolerated. If you must be absent, it is your responsibility to find a replacement and inform your supervisor of the situation.  Failure to follow policies and procedures the first time is cause for verbal warning, the second time is cause for written warning and including a 3 day work and 3 day ski pass suspension. The third offense will result in termination. Use of drugs or alcohol while on duty is cause for immediate dismissal.

 

The expected pay range is $23/hr - $26/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
