Job Summary: 

This position is a tipped position and will be responsible for valet and bell services. They are responsible for creating a welcoming and gracious first and last impression, which includes assisting passengers during the loading and unloading process. Provide prompt and courteous service; familiarize the guest(s) with essential resort services and activities. The bellperson/valet is responsible for safely and efficiently relocating guest automobiles to designated parking locations, and for the timely delivery and retrieval of luggage and other items. Bell person will also safely and efficiently transport guests to local destinations by operating hotel vehicles. Drivers will provide general information about the resort and give local recommendations.

 

Job Specifications: 

  • Outlet: The Arrabelle

  • Expected Pay Range: $12.00 - $14.00 / hour + tips

    • If hired into a tipped position you will make a minimum of $20 an hour inclusive of tips
  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Part Time Hours Available

  • Skill Level: Entry to Intermediate  

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Welcome guests in a warm, friendly, prompt and professional manner.
  • Oversee the timely delivery and retrieval of luggage, amenities, and various items to the guest rooms.
  • Maintaining a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, and ethics in dealing both with guests, co-workers and subordinates.
  • Ensures that the Bell desk and adjacent public areas are kept in pristine condition.
  • Ensure the Bell Closet is used to its full extent for luggage storage while being kept organized and clean.
  • Handles confidential information, including guest records, with a high degree of integrity.
  • Anticipated guests’ needs respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, despite how busy or the time of day.
  • Ensuring good safety practices of guests throughout the hotel, and proper emergency and safety procedures are followed.
  • Ensures the Bell/Valet Team leads the charge in regard to recycling efforts and environmental initiatives.
  • Flexible schedule required. Must be available to work holidays, weekends and nights. 
  • Oversee and effectively deal with all guest issues as they occur and resolve the issues to a satisfactory outcome.
  • Managing the property parking logistics, and providing team with appropriate steps of preparation for timely and accurate placement and retrieval of guests vehicles.
  • Report TIPS on a daily basis through timeclock, located at Loss Prevention.
  • Closely watch hours and report any potential overtime to department manager.
  • Ensure recycling efforts and environmental initiatives are met.
  • Responsible for shuttle experience with rides, when available, within the Vail city limits.
  • Work closely with the Concierge, and Front office with room escorts and communication
  • Other duties as assigned 

 

Job Requirements: 

  • Lift at least 50lbs  

  • Semi-fluent in English 

  • Valid driver's license 

  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times 

  • Bilingual in Spanish - preferred

 

The expected pay range is $20.00. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
