Job Summary:
The Executive Meeting Manager is responsible for generating and closing small group business (10–40 rooms per night), including guest rooms and meeting space, for The Hythe, a Luxury Collection Resort, Vail. This sales role is focused on proactive solicitation, lead qualification, and revenue generation, while building strong client relationships and developing foundational sales skills. This position manages the sales process from initial inquiry through contract.

 
This role is an on-property role, ideal for a motivated, sales-driven individual looking to grow within hotel sales. Success in this position is driven by proactive prospecting, responsiveness, strong follow-through, and the ability to build relationships that convert to booked business.
 

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $60,000 - $75,000

Job Responsibilites:
  • Respond promptly to incoming inquiries for small group business, including guest rooms and meeting space
  • Proactively solicit new business within assigned market segments to generate group opportunities (10–40 rooms on peak)
  • Qualify leads, identify client needs, and position the resort’s offerings effectively
  • Prepare and present proposals, contracts, and follow-up communications in a timely and professional manner
  • Conduct site inspections and virtual presentations to showcase the resort and its amenities
  • Negotiate rates and terms within established guidelines to maximize revenue and profitability
  • Manage assigned accounts and build strong client relationships to drive repeat and referral business
  • Maintain accurate and organized account information, activity, and reporting within Marriott systems
  • Support achievement of individual and team revenue and room night goals
  • Participate in networking events, industry functions, and occasional travel to support business development efforts
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to effectively position the resort
  • Provide a high level of customer service throughout the sales process, ensuring responsiveness and professionalism
  • Collaborate with operations and events teams to ensure a seamless handoff of booked business
  • Assist in analyzing lost business and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Maintain a strong understanding of resort offerings, brand standards, and sales processes
  • Collaborate with senior sales leaders for ongoing training and development
  • Remain flexible with schedule as needed to accommodate site visits and client needs
 
Job Requriments:
  • 1–3 years of hospitality, sales, or customer-facing experience preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple sales opportunities simultaneously
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on revenue generation and closing business
  • Basic understanding of hotel sales processes and group business (preferred but not required)
  • Experience with Marriott systems (CI/TY) is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

 

The expected pay range is $60,000 - $75,000. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
