Job Summary:
The Senior Interpretive Specialist will provide professional quality interpretive programs for Grand Teton Lodge Company within the confines of its Contract and Operating Plan. Assist with developing, planning, coordinating and presenting educational, and interpretive material so as to maximize employee and visitor opportunities to make personal connections with the meanings and significance of Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks.

Job Responsibilities:
- Develop, review, and implement park knowledge and interpretive curriculum and programs.
- Provide NAI based training and evaluation of seasonal guides and staff engaged in interpretation.
- Provide at least 5 Interpretive Guest Programs per week
- Provide coverage for the Interpretation Desk at Jackson Lake Lodge.
- Manage all program communications including flyers and managing the back end of the QR code.
- Work closely with Front Office staff (Activity Desk, Reservations and Front Desk) and Sales & Marketing to promote interpretive programs to guests
- Research and develop new interpretive lectures, educational programing and visitor activities.
- Assist Executive Assistant with coordination and execution of the annual Every Kid Outdoors program.
- Work with local educational partners on weekly programming (i.e. The Cougar Fund, Wyoming Stargazing, Raptor Center)
- Provide Interpretive programs for GTLC/FRC employees as time permits
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Possess the ability to interact with guests in a professional manner
- Possess the ability to function independently of direct supervision; Must be self- motivated.
- Prior experience in professional interpretation
- Supervisory Experience: preferred
- NAI Certified Guide or Trainer, valid drivers license, Successful completion of MVR
- Proficient with Microsoft platforms including SWAY. Previous experience with Canva.
- Ability to produce written documentation that is technically complete, grammatically correct, and neat.
- Ability to speak in front of groups in a professional manner, answer questions and provide information
- General knowledge of policies, programs and procedures related to National Park Service Interpretation and Business departments.
Preferred:
- CDL drivers license
- Experience training and evaluating staff
