Job Summary:
Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, ensuring efficient performance and adherence to company standards for hospitality, safety, and environmental practices. Key duties include managing staff schedules, supervising inventory and vendor orders, controlling expenses within budget, and maintaining organized stockrooms. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with the ability to handle physical tasks and deliver exceptional customer service.

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $48,000.00

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operation of the store location
  • Prepare weekly schedules and participate in employee relations issues including progressive discipline
  • Safeguard company inventory using proper security procedures.
  • Place appropriate orders from outside vendors for beverages and grocery items.
  • Order operating supplies as needed.
  • Keep Customer Item Request forms for items called for but not stocked.
  • Operate shop within the budget set for payroll and control expense.
  • Inventory shop at the close of the season at the direction of Senior Retail staff.
  • Take an active part in counting and ticket new merchandise that arrives in the store.
  • Organize stockroom and areas in warehouse that pertain to store so all merchandise is accessible.
  • Order liquor, wine, and beer on weekly basis and other deli items where applicable. Take monthly inventory in these areas
  • Gas Pump Operation (where applicable)
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Prior retail/grocery store management experience recommended
  • Ability to motivate and direct people
  • Good communications and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of windows based programs (Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and written in an effective manner
  • Professional, well-groomed appearance
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift consistently up to 50 pounds

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Previous Grocery/Retail experience
  • Cash handling experience
  • Prior customer service experience
  • At least 21 years old per Wyoming requirements for alcohol service
