Job Summary:

Responsible for putting orders together at the restaurant window, adding condiments according to menu and guest choices and calling out full orders to servers. To communicate effectively and cordially with culinary team and front of the house team to ensure efficient restaurant operation and accurate food preparation and presentation. To run food, set up restaurant stations and organize china for the successful operation of the restaurant. You are expected to adhere to the company’s mission, vision and value statements. Be knowledgeable of the company’s management systems, policies and initiatives for Hospitality, Environmental, and Health and Safety. You have specific responsibilities within these areas and are expected to understand them.

 

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $17.75/hr + tips

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure all company policies, procedures, service standards and assigned duties are performed correctly and efficiently.
  • Maintain a positive and professional rapport with all staff and guests.
  • Be familiar and comply with Brand Standards and NPS Standards.
  • Become knowledgeable of all Food and Beverage items available.
  • Become knowledgeable of general information on GTLC operations and National Park.
  • Attend pre-shift meetings; make notes of items being served as the specials and of any other information conveyed.
  • Ensure prompt accurate service with anticipation and compliance of all guests’ needs reducing wait lines.
  • Operate toaster or dessert station or expedite orders as assigned.
  • Responsible for keeping stock of all take out items, food and beverages stations, sides and sauces.
  • Responsible for acting as a link between Back and Front of the House teams.
  • Responsible for organizing tickets as they are being cooked and complement dishes according to menu and guest choices.
  • Responsible for the communication of kitchen conditions, items count and stocks, changes, big parties and other useful information to the teams
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of the expeditor area maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Responsible for maintaining all restaurant equipment in operational order.
  • Responsible to report all maintenance concerns to the Maintenance Dept.
  • Assist in the opening and closing procedures of the Restaurant
  • Complete all assigned pre-shift side duties and ensure the restaurant is set 15 minutes prior to opening.
  • Complete all assigned post-shift side duties.
  • Maintain a professional, well-groomed appearance and pleasant demeanor.
  • Support Food and Beverage management initiatives.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Prior Food and Beverage experience
  • Excellent people and communication skills
  • Able to work long hours and varied shifts
  • Prior Point of Sale system experiencePrior culinary experience
  • Prior expeditor experience
