Job Summary:
You are expected to adhere to the company’s mission, vision and value statements. Be knowledgeable of the company’s management systems, policies and initiatives for Hospitality, Environmental, and Health and Safety. You have specific responsibilities within these areas and you are expected to understand them. Responsible for overall successful operation of the assigned kitchen environment.
Job Specifications:
- Starting Wage: $18.50/hr

Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare batch-cooked items
- Cook menu items in large quantities to standards using various cooking techniques
- Taste all food on the line to make sure it meets specifications
- Pick up storeroom requisitions as required
- Perform station check to ensure all food stations are set up for service
- Stock kitchen workstations as needed
- Perform daily back of house tasks including opening and closing duties; keeping sanitation levels to company standards; and ensuring proper disposal of cooking oil at end of workday
- Comply with all applicable Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) standards
- Other duties as assigned by your supervisor or Senior Management
Hospitality:
- You must be committed to superior guest service and quality standards. As a team member of your department you play a key role ensuring the team’s success and achievement of meeting and exceeding our guests’ expectations. Our goal is to receive a minimum of 88% on our guest comment scores.
- Conducts all duties in a friendly, courteous and organized manner.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area. Keeps tables clear of debris and guest areas clean.
- Utilizes Brand Standards training manuals in the initial training of incoming personnel ensuring company policies, procedures, service standards. Operations and assigned duties are performed correctly and effectively
Environmental:
- The Grand Teton Lodge Company is entrusted with protecting the environment of Grand Teton National Park. As part of this mission you are responsible for carrying out our core environmental values: promote renewable energy, reduction of waste, protection of wildlife habitat, and environmental education. You should strive to preserve, protect and inspire your team members and our guests to join in this effort.
- All employees will actively participate in training, observe company policies and procedures, and p company values relative to protecting the natural environment.
- Practice Company mandated recycling programs.
Health and Safety:
You are responsible for working in a safe and healthy manner. You must be knowledgeable of the company’s work safe policies and procedures.
- Insures Serv Safe and HACCP Practices are followed at all times.
- Wearing Safety Cut Glove at all times while using sharp instruments - knives, slicers etc.
- Usage of Personal Protection Equipment provided by the company
NPS/Community Relations:
- You must be committed to working in partnership with the National Park Service and community organizations to enhance our guests’ experiences. Our goal is to receive only fours and fives on the five point rating scale used by NPS.
Financial:
- Work towards the same goals as that of the company with regard to keeping check and track of food and labor cost and stay within the budget
Job Requirements:
- 6 months minimum cooking experience
- Basic English
- Required to live on property in the assigned housing or employee RV Park
- High volume cooking
- Egg cookery a plus
- Will work mostly indoors unless outside events organized.
- Knowledge of Kitchen Chemicals and MSDS
- Knifes and multiple kitchen appliances
- Firm black leather closed-toe and closed-back, rubber and slip-resistant soled shoes.

The expected pay range is $18.50/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
