The Assistant Laundry Manager oversees all laundry operations in absence of laundry manager; washes, dries, irons and prepares all linens, towels, rugs and bedspreads sent to Jackson Lake Lodge laundry, and assumes laundry manager's duties in his/her absence. The Assistant Manager is additionally responsible to track linen inventories to minimize loss; assure proper and reasonable levels in all housekeeping and food and beverage operations. This individual compares schedules, employees on duty and time cards, and corrects any discrepancies, and additionally assists with training and evaluation of staff.  The Assistant Laundry Manager is expected to work all laundry positions as needed, and control workflow by assignment of laundry personnel to proper workstations, as well as prepares all laundry machinery for operation prior to arrival of laundry crew.  

 

The “must haves” for this position include: 

  • Prior industrial laundry experience
  • Quality conscious and attentive to detail
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Must be able to move around and stand on your feel for long periods of time

 

We prefer that you additionally have the following skills / experience, but it is not required: 

  • Prior on the job supervisory experience
  • Previous experience working in an administrative role
  • Previous experience with, and/or knowledge of, payroll
