Job Summary: 

The Ski and Ride School Adaptive Supervisor is responsible for all adaptive lessons and programming.  They will ensure quality in the guest and employee experience by leading the resort priorities and modeling our company’s values. This is achieved through the focus on quality control, guest and employee relations, staff performance and development, financial responsibility, communication, teamwork and administrative duties. The Adaptive Supervisor will supervise operations of the adaptive programs, indoor and outdoor facilities, teaching areas, and will oversee staffing, lesson assignments, and training. This position will work with the Ski and Ride School Senior Manager, Managers, and Administrative Assistants as well as Product Sales and other resort departments to ensure seamless and efficient management of the school for all stakeholders

Job Responsibilities:

  • Utilize available resources to monitor and maintain the quality of the adaptive teaching standards of instructors.
  • Maintain and foster relationships with our non-profit adaptive sports partners
  • Manage staffing to ensure appropriate instructors are available for adaptive lessons.
  • Build and maintain training programs for the schools adaptive needs.
  • Understand, lead, and model safety standards within the department.
  • Assist with other line-ups in Ski and Ride School (Adult, Private, and Children’s lessons) wherever necessary.
  • Monitor and review employee performance with other supervisors and individual instructors on a regular basis.
  • Resolve guest complaints by utilizing guest service guidelines and accommodate special requests when appropriate.
  • Ensure Instructors are knowledgeable about our product lines, company policies and procedures, and work schedules.
  • Establish and review mutual seasonal goals and performance objectives with each instructor, providing feedback and coaching.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership, peers and other departments to create an environment of support and trust that will benefit staff and guests.
  • Understand, lead and model the Company’s mission, vision and values.
  • Teach guests as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

     

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1-3 years working in an adaptive program
  • 1- 3 years working in a Ski & Snowboard School
  • PSIA/AASI Level 1 certification or equivalent
  • Adaptive certifications
  • Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency
  • Fluent verbal and written communication in English
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills
  • Able to work with and build teams
  • Strong understanding of teaching and instructing fundamentals
  • Current with PSIA/AASI or equivalent
  • Flexible and adaptable to a changing environment
  • Must be able to work Weekends and Holidays
  • Extensive adaptive experience
  • PSIA/AASI Level 3 certification and/or adaptive equivalent
  • College degree and/or experience in a related field
  • Significant supervisory experience

     

 

The expected pay range is $27.00. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
