Job Summary: 

The Assistant Manager – Lift Electronics is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance of lift electronic systems while leading a team of technicians. This role combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient lift operations.

  

Job Specifications: 

  

  • Starting Wage: $26.60 -$38.00

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of lift electronic systems and controls
  • Diagnose faults in PLCs, drives, sensors, and control panels
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and company procedures
  • Review and approve technical work, schematics, and system modifications
  • Support complex fault resolution and major breakdowns

Team Leadership

  • Supervise and guide lift electronics technicians, Specialist and leads
  • Assign daily work, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion
  • Provide technical coaching, mentoring, and skills development
  • Conduct performance reviews and support training initiatives

Planning & Coordination

  • Plan preventive and corrective maintenance schedules
  • Coordinate with operations, vendors, and other maintenance teams
  • Ensure availability of tools, spare parts, and resources
  • Support project work such as upgrades, modernization, and installation.

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce safety procedures and ensure a zero-incident culture
  • Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments
  • Ensure all systems meet regulatory and company compliance requirements
  • Maintain proper documentation and reporting

Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor equipment performance and identify improvement opportunities
  • Analyze downtime and implement corrective actions
  • Drive efficiency improvements and cost control initiatives
  • Implement best practices in lift electronics maintenance

Key Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of lift electronic systems and controls
  • Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and troubleshooting electrical systems
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Job Requirements:  

  • Strong management, communication, leadership, and team building skills, skiing/riding ability, and must be able to work in extreme weather conditions (winter/summer)
  • Strong understanding of Electrical, Mechanical, and Hydraulic systems.
  • Basic knowledge of desktop computer systems and applications
  • Valid Driver's license or ability to obtain one upon employmenta
  • General knowledge of the ski industry and lift operations
  • Positive, solutions-oriented leadership.

 

The expected pay range is $26.60 -$38.00. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
