Job Summary:
The PSS Team Lead is part of the Product Sales & Services (PSS) Department who delivers outstanding guest service while facilitating the sale of Activities, Lift Tickets, Season Passes, Ski & Snowboard School lessons. As a Team Lead, you are part of the guest experience and the face of Vail Resorts! This is an hourly leadership position focused on guest experience and team engagement. The PSS leadership team is focused, positive, outgoing, have a passion for the mountain experience, while well-disciplined and take pride in their work.
Job Specifications:
- Starting Wage: $23.00/hour - $26.53/hour

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- This is an inside and outside position and candidates must be able to stand for extended periods of time in summer and winter weather.
- Locations include: Ticket/Pass Offices, outside services, ski and ride school locations, rental locations and contact centers.
- Schedule will include weekends, holidays, and nights.
- Responsible for the daily opening and closing procedures of PSS locations, including contact center, and overseeing the proper functionality of the systems and equipment as needed.
- Perform resort communication with internal and external guests, following through on all requests and working well across multiple departments and, deliver reporting on audit, sales, arrivals and performance KPIs.
- Lead and ensure a premier guest experience for all resort guests,
- Understand, embrace, and execute on the vision, strategy and roadmap for evolving resort guest service delivery including people, processes, and technology
- Work with the leadership team to train, support, schedule and provide performance management for team members.
- Lead and ensure a safe environment for both employees and guests.
- Detailed knowledge and explanation of all products, policies, and procedures.
- Use all modules and Guest Connect to field guest inquiries, book mountain activities, and manage products.
- Holistic understanding of resources will enable employees to perform their job efficiently as well as provide guests with adequate answers to their questions regarding the resort, community, and general vacation needs.
- Deliver accurate and regular communication to guests and staff through traditional, electronic, digital, and social media platforms.
- Resolve guest concerns that may arise and complete the service recovery process.
- Create authentic connections with others and inspire trust.
- Manage expectations while empowering others to share in decision making and work processes.
- Manage labor, opex, and inventory, budget directives for specific locations.
- Act fast to changing dynamics and be forward thinking and one step ahead of the needs of the business, our guests' expectations, and your leader.
- Implement departmental policies and procedures.
- Promote and support department operations and company policies and procedures.
- Assist with all location amenities (e.g., Ski & Snowboard School, Guest Service, Lost & Found, and Vail Resorts Retail)
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, 4 Year College/University Degree- preferred
- 4 Years Guest Service and cash handling experience- required
- Two years of Supervisory experience in a guest service-related field- requireda
- Vail Resorts RPOS and Guest Connect with proficiency in the advanced sales module, Microsoft office and PeopleSoft proficiency- required
- Able to lift at least 55lbs
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time in inclement weather
- Ability to create and change inventory in our point-of-sale system- preferred
- English Proficiency -required, Spanish Language Skills- preferred
The expected pay range is $23.00/hour - $26.53/hour. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
