Job Summary:  

The Summer Seasonal Assistant Restaurant Manager supports daily food and beverage operations by leading Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) supervisors, ensuring exceptional guest service, operational efficiency, and team engagement. This hands-on leadership role plays a key part in staffing, training, cost control, and maintaining company and resort standards during peak summer operations.

 

Job Specifications: 

  • Starting Wage: $26.00/hr - $32.00/hr  
  • Employment Type: Summer Seasonal 2026

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Lead daily operations across FOH and BOH, ensuring high standards of service, food quality, cleanliness, and safety
  • Support opening and closing procedures, POS processing, tip entry, payroll review, and operational paperwork
  • Ensure compliance with health department regulations, WA Food handler standards, MAST alcohol service requirements, and company safety policies
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering, receiving, and scheduled inventory counts
  • Partner with supervisors to align staffing levels to guest volume and budget
  • Coach, train, and support supervisors and hourly staff through daily huddles, feedback, and performance conversations
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and progressive discipline as needed
  • Help control labor, cost of sales, and operating expenses
  • Communicate effectively with staff, guests, and cross‑functional resort teams
  • Place, receive, and organize orders for products in alignment with recipe specifications and brand standards 

 

Job Requirements: 

  • 1+ year of supervisory or assistant management experience in food & beverage
  • 3–5 years total restaurant or hospitality experience preferred
  • Experience supporting both FOH and BOH operations
  • WA MAST certification and Food Handler certifications
  • Working knowledge of POS, inventory, and time & labor systems
  • Strong guest service focus and hands-on leadership style

 

Physical & Scheduling Requirements

  • Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and evenings
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, seasonal environment with variable weather.

 

This role is designed as a developmental step toward a Restaurant General Manager position. Successful Assistant Restaurant Managers will have opportunities to:

  • Gain experience leading both FOH and BOH supervisors
  • Participate in labor and cost control decision-making
  • Develop scheduling, payroll, and inventory management skills
  • Support financial performance goals and operational planning
  • Demonstrate readiness for broader ownership of operations and team performance .

 

The expected pay range is $26.00/hr - $32.00/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
