Job Summary:

Service is the foundation of everything we stand for at Vail Resorts, and our Front of House Assistant Managers are no exception to creating this experience of a lifetime. Assistant Managers are an integral part of restaurant operations responsible for leading daily operations and helping to deliver high-quality, consistent service in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Reporting to the Front of House General Managers, you will oversee and support the FOH staff while maintaining excellent standards, efficiency, and teamwork. The Front of House Assistant Manager is key to driving both guest satisfaction and team performance throughout the season.

 

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $25.00/hr - $29.00/hr

  • Minimum Age: At least 21 years of age

Job Responsibilities:

  • Train, coach, develop, and inspire FOH staff from a variety of backgrounds and experience levels to build skills, take ownership of their roles, and grow as contributing members of the team.
  • Work with outlet General Manager to Maintain operational efficiency during peak service times and throughout the busy ski season. Ensuring the restaurant operates at all times with a high level of service and product quality.
  • Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality and cleanliness through hands on training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment.
  • Manage lodge operations to budgeted labor and cost of sales margins using available reporting, scheduling, ordering and control policies & systems.
  • Completes all necessary administrative duties as needed on a daily basis, including but not limited to POS Reconciliation, Facility Check List, Daily Payroll Accuracy, Ordering & Inventory, Safety & Stand-up Meetings, Manager logs.
  • Assist with inventory tracking and ordering of food and supplies.
  • Responsible for overall restaurant cleanliness, including snow removal.
  • Address guest feedback and support quality improvements.
  • Other duties as assigned. We are a company that works together; and throughout the season you may be required to assist other F&B locations & departments as needed.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years Restaurant experience, including 2+ years of leadership experience (quick service or high-volume preferred).
  • Ability to lead and inspire a diverse seasonal team.
  • Excellent administrative, communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and peak resort periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
  • MAST certification preferred or must be acquired within 30 days of start.
  • Ability to attend work in winter weather environment.

 

The expected pay range is $25.00/hr - $29.00/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
