Job Summary:

The Ski and Ride School Support Staff Team Lead is responsible for leading the Ski and Ride School Support Staff.  This includes scheduling and directing daily activities in support of operations of the Ski and Ride School. The Team Lead is responsible for ensuring the image, appearance, and functionality of indoor facilities and outdoor teaching areas. Plus daily set up and tear down, lunch service, and assistance with check-in and check-out procedures of child students. They will also spend time with small children performing indoor activities, and on-hill assisting with ski school classes.  Support Staff Team Lead will also help support operational teams with payroll and other duties as assigned.

 

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $25.00/hr - $28/hr

Job Responsibilities:

Operational Oversight

  • Monitor and maintain the quality of Ski and Ride School facilities to support lessons and ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Assist with operational responsibilities including training, scheduling, lesson assignments, private lesson bookings, and guest service.
  • Oversee daily upkeep, including setup and teardown of indoor and outdoor teaching areas.
  • Manage snack, lunch, and other indoor activities.
  • Manage staffing levels to meet daily needs for Support Staff and Instructor Aides.

Staff Leadership & Development

  • Monitor and review Support Staff and Instructor Aide performance regularly.
  • Establish and review seasonal goals and performance objectives, providing feedback and coaching.
  • Conduct daily meetings with instructors and coaches to share company and department updates.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership, peers, and other departments to foster a supportive and trusting environment.

Guest & Child Experience

  • Work with small children to facilitate appropriate games and activities in both indoor and outdoor settings.
  • Lead indoor activities and assist with ski school classes.
  • Manage the children's center for children experiencing separation anxiety or being checked out early.
  • Work with the Ski & Ride School Management team to support and achieve Guest Experience targets.
  • Collect, review, and report on guest experience data to ensure quality expectations are met.

Safety & Compliance

  • Understand, lead, and model safety standards and the Ski and Ride safety business plan.
  • Maintain knowledge of and adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends
  • Able to meet the physical demands of ski and ride training and drills
  • Ability to frequently walk/stand, stoop/reach, crouch, and kneel frequently
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50lbs
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English

 

The expected pay range is $25.00/hr - $28/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
