Job  Summary:

Provide leadership, direction and management for the Park City Mountain Security department which operates on a 24/7/365 basis.Security frequently responds to emergency situations, potential criminal activity, safety concerns and guest related needs. Promote an environment which reflects the company’s mission, values and service mantra.

 

Job Specifications:  

  • Starting Wage: $48,842.70 - $70,697.48 + annual bonus   

  • Employment Type: Year Round   

  • Shift Type: Full Time hours available  

  • Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age   

  • Housing Availability: No   

 

Job responsibilities: 

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Security team
  • Respond promptly and professionally to internal and external guest issues, requests, and concerns.
  • Respond to emergency situations in a prompt, professional manner recognizing these situations may be traumatic and / or stressful.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local, state and federal agencies and departments as they relate to law enforcement, public safety, emergency preparedness and fire life safety.
  • Build, maintain and develop a strong team of individuals committed to guest service, safety and loss prevention.
  • Promote an investigative / learning atmosphere around incidents of any nature, especially those related to criminal activity.
  • Exhibit a high degree of independent responsibility in management of time and behaviors.
  • Partner with operation managers in the development and maintenance of training programs and standards for emergency situations.
  • Develop and focus on department specific policies and procedure guidelines as well as corporate standards related to Health and Safety.
  • Partner with Senior Manager to develop and manage the annual operating budget as well as department specific capital projects.
  • Stay current with industry trends for department specific operations through continuing education, participation in best practice groups and outside resources.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with all departments throughout our company and community partners to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Promote a safe, productive and enjoyable work environment.
  • Foster a culture of innovations within your department and the larger Resort Ops team.
  • Oversee and participate in Growth & Development aspect for all team members including performance management, goal setting,and manage payroll, certification tracking and compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Job requriments: 

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • One year in Security or related field
  • Two years managing medium sized workforce
  • Valid driver’s license, CPR, First Aid
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications, email and internet usage
  • English, read-write-speak
  • Background check

Preferred Skills:

  • Ski Resort or Event Security management, Vail Resorts experience, project management  

 

The expected pay range is $48,842.70 - $70,697.48 + annual bonus. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
