Full Time roles are eligible for the above, plus:

Job summary:

Organize, coordinate and supervise the daily operations of a specific age group of childcare, program or group of activities.

 

Job Specifications:  

  • Starting Wage: $22.00/hr - $24.69/hr 
  • Employment Type: Year Round 
  • Shift Type: Full Time hours available 
  • Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age 
  • Housing Availability: No 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Effectively handle customer issues relating to the center.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and properly with children.
  • Ensure that all state day-care licensing rules and regulations are being followed and enforced
  • 20 hours of state training MUST be completed annually.
  • Perform opening and closing duties.
  • Attend staff meetings and other special trainings.
  • Follow & Create lesson plans and carry out age appropriate activities daily.
  • Provide a safe environment for children at all times.
  • Ensure rooms are kept in a tidy manner throughout the day.
  • Follow correct procedures during check in and checkout process.
  • Efficiently communicate with other caregivers in regards to child information and care.
  • Maintain and file children’s records such as child report cards and review them with parents.
  • Ensure that all state-daycare licensing requirements are maintained.
  • Maintain records of children such as accident reports, registration forms etc.
  • Communicate with office pertaining to revenue payments and drop-ins/ early & late drop-off’s
  • Provide information such as daily rates and activities to guests when appropriate.
  • Perform other related jobs as necessary.
  • Required to changes diapers and deal with bodily fluids

 

Working Relationship:

  • Reports to Child Care Manager
  • Receives direction from Child Care Supervisors & Manager

 

Job Requirements:

  • College degree in child development preferred, or High School education, with one or more years of  classroom or activity planning  with children.
  • Strong knowledge of childcare program development and implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of Childcare Licensing rules and regulations or willing to learn them.
  • Ability to be flexible and change tasks and assignments when needed.
  • Enjoyment of and enthusiasm for childcare.
  • Excellent team building and leadership skills.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older per state requirements.
  • Demonstrate ability to act as a team player and guide others with new ideas.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • CPR, first aid training with certification is desirable.
  • Ability to pass a background check

 

Physical Requirement:

  • Extended sitting, standing, bending, lifting, etc.
  • Standing, hiking or walking
  • Tolerate all weather conditions.
  • Ability to tolerate high levels of stress and high levels of noise.

 

The expected pay range is $22.00/hr - $24.69/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
